This is sickening and disturbing to think that American soldiers did this.

when i first read over this on msnbc news today, it was truly morbid of just one soldier to do something like this.. but to think that 12 are being implicated tells you how truly sick a lot in the u.s. forces are.. what is the difference between what they did and what hitlers soldiers did?.

Umm LWT it depends on what you call a lot.

I say a lot because if it was just an isolated case would be one thing but for 12 to be involved.

Then don't forget the nice soldiers down in Cuba at the prison down there taking those pictures of the Arab prisoners being humiliated by forcing them to strip nude and taking their pics of them in disturbing situations.

So when i say a lot, I don't mean the majority, cause there is some good guys in the U.S. Forces. I got some cousins and nephews in there.

I mean a lot in the sense way more than I or many others would have figured.

If this all turns out to be true, I hope they prosecute them as war crimes.

Here is just a partial quote form the article:

Morlock was the first of five soldiers initially charged in June with the murders. Seven others have been charged since then with various other crimes stemming from the investigation, including conspiracy to cover up the slayings.

Four of the soldiers have been charged with keeping body parts, including finger bones, a skull, leg bones and a human tooth.

It seems if you want to try and get away with murder, just join the armed forces.

This makes me wonder since the whistle blower came forward against the others, how many times does crap like this happen that does get covered over and not brought out.

The last part of your comment that I cited indicates that you think God will delay his mass execution if enough people ask him to do it.

"Evidently" this was the case with Nineveh when Jonah was sent to that city to tell them it was going to be destroyed. They repented in sackcloth and ashes. And it was spared the foretold destruction. (That's why Jonah was mad because he told them God was going to destroy it)

Also similar with Sodom if just 10 righteous people could be found he was not going to bring it to destruction.

All I know is I'm keeping a sackcloth and plenty of ashes near me. Especially after I've been drinking, just in case.

Secret books, secret meetings = secret society

Wonder if anybody at WTBTS headquarters ever questioned if the early christians had secret books and secret lapel cards for the apostles that the ordinary christians could never see?

I wonder how many books the Apostles had from Jesus that no one else was allowed to read.

Look at the above quotes.

They all have merit and should cause any JW to stop and think and reason on them.

Especially when at the meetings they are told how the modern congregation is patterned after the first century christian congregation.

Ask any JW to show you in the bible where the early christians had anything that even remotely resembles this Elders only book.

i find that i have done it quite a bit in my life.

i dont really know whyjust recognize that i do it.

I just want to know if I get any "brownie points" for trying to help fulfill some of the scriptures in the opening post?

I've been eating, in just a few minutes I hope to be drinking....and heck I might even go buy and sell something if I can talk my wife into driving me to town after I get done drinking. (wouldn't want to drink and drive, might spill some. I'm a responsible drinker)

i'm in the dawn of my research, and the #1 thing that i am trying to do, is separate the bible from the watchtower and bible and track society.. me and my dad got into a dicussion, and he said that the witnesses are only doing what the bible says.

he said to read the bible (especially the new testament) and it would all come clear to me, why jehovah's witnesses are the truth.

i said 'then what about all of the misleading, and predictions that never came true?

Then if thats true why would you need to belong to an organization?

Also if thats true in regards to being number one thing to do, what number would he assign to faith in Christ?
