I thought it was really cool the first time I saw Alexa at somebody's home. I wanted one. But it kind of creeps me out. Too much potential for evil doers!

The "Hate Crime" mob stirring things up again!
by The Fall Guy instaff in a takeaway were offended by two lesbians' full-on kissing and expressed their opinion about the behaviour.
the lesbians complained to police that a "hate crime" was committed.. homosexual or heterosexual - do it in private, it's not a spectator sport or a public statement.. minority groups can invoke police action if they are "offended," but society in general cannot do likewise.. why has "being offended" been turned into a hate crime in the uk?
who is pushing this agenda?.

I attended a funeral where a couple of lesbians also attended. They stood off to the side, hating everybody, just glaring. All those straight people. Disgusting! I hated them for being such agenda-driven bitches. It's a funeral, bitch! Have a little class.

Two Bible Beliefs of Jehovah`s Witnesses ,Do They Align with each other ?
by smiddy3 in1.the first is 2 cor.4:4 that satan is "the god of this system of things" to blind the minds of the unbelievers etc.. so logically this "system of things" would mean the governments ,politicians, armed forces and law enforcement agency`s such as the police would it not?
so satan is in control of all of these under the banner of being the god of this system of things.?.
2. rom.13: 1-7 " let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities for their is no authority except by god".

As Blondie has explained, you have to do some pretty fancy tap dancing around that question!

Money! How much did you "Contribute" To The WTB@TS When You Were A Member
by The Bethelite ini was in full time service for six years including bethel.
once i got out of bethel, i figured i had already given them six of the best years of my life (ages 18-24) working as a slave/drone in their factory, so i rationalized that i had given them enough... so over the next 27 years i would say maybe $200 bucks is it.
i think their whole "voluntary contributions" idea is biting them in the ass, because over all jehovah's witnesses are a cheap group people with a few exceptions.

If we had a "windfall," like selling a house or some amount of family money came our way, we would go through the process with the accounts brother so as to be contributing to the WWW and getting a receipt for tax purposes. Not the whole bundle, just a spike in our contribution to the WorldWideWork. Until the accounts servant mouthed off about it, as though we were out of line to want a receipt. After that there were no more generous contributions. I could see that money-grubbing was systemic with the Witnesses. People felt like if you have money to give away, give some to me. Not that we blew our horn about what we did, the account servant had a big mouth and discreet was not in his vocabulary.

CHILD MOLESTATION: How have they been able to hide it for so long?

Fink, I don't think it's as rampant as some here would have you think, either. My point is that it is such a taboo subject that I was never informed about what had come to pass with my own daughter. So, really, who knows how rampant it is, if they keep it from the parents? Actually, I think my wife was filled in, but she's already "damaged goods."
To add insult to my injury, when my daughter got involved with the son of an elder in later years, she was the one held "responsible," as though the boy couldn't have done anything wrong. She let herself get DF'd and never looked back.
They have been able to hide child molestation because everybody is agreeable to it or kept in the dark about it.

Michael George, speaking for myself, I am just plain burned out on all of it. If there was more to go on, I would pay more attention.

My experience is similar to Dubfounded's. My wife was a victim as a child. My daughter was a victim as a child. My wife has never shared any details of her molestation with me, only that she was reprimanded for her precociousness. When my daughter was molested, the elders never told me about it, probably because I would have gone off on my elder/father-in-law if I knew. My daughter doesn't remember it at all, she was so young.
So, the guy is dead now. He got away with it in the sense that it never became public. and I live with the fallout from his sickness.

Who else provides all this spiritual food?
by StephaneLaliberte intwo days ago, i experienced a spiritual epiphany while visiting the library of a catholic university: i was shocked to find thousands of religious literatures produced by the catholics and protestants in the last few hundred years.
someone could easily spend a secluded lifetime trying to read them all.
for years, i was told by my religious leaders (jws) that the catholics and other religions did not provide spiritual food to their members.

But the Witness books are written so that a simpleton can understand them! God loves simpletons, too, you know.
I found myself trying to squeeze deepness out of those mid-week book studies but it just wasn't there. When it comes down to "food for thought" the Catholics win, hands down!

Involved(ish) with a JW Man.
by BNG-713 ini know there are several posts about witnesses and non-witnesses in regards to relationships.
i couldn’t find anything specifically that spoke to me, so i would love some third-party advice and thoughts.. i have never been someone to pursue a stranger from the internet.
earlier this year, i became friends with someone on a video game.

He will want you to become a JW. He'll start out slow. If you can keep your eyes open, because love is blind, you will have the resistance needed to repel the idea. You are open territory and he will explore every angle.
Or...I'm wrong and he is looking for a way out.
