  what's interesting in the above article is that it is eerily familiar to jw'swho debunk false teachings.

  the reprinted news-clippings have strong impactand lend gravitas to the argument.what argument?there's a huge difference between science and bullshit because scienceis supposed to test its hypotheses.well - failure is a pretty good test.. 1967: dire famine forecast by 1975.

  Thank you, Smiddy. Exactly. The only news that we get from WT is news that supports the present agenda.

  They cherry-puck their quoted statements, breaking them up with ellipses so that they sound more like what they want them to sound like.

  I don't understand why Corney has a problem with that. It's a common practice, done by politicians and religions both. Denial won't make it stop. It only puts you out there in Lalaland.

  I studied Spinoza in college. One of the students, a hard-core Christian, was offended by Spinoza. He chimed in to the discussion, trying to make a point for Jesus and God. The teacher says, "if your God is so perfect, why is there tooth decay?" The kid was shattered.

  Unfortunately for me, a few years later the Witnesses came along with a pseudo-answer to that question and I got hooked in.

  Eddie Money and Ric Ocasek RIP

  while i enjoyed eddie's music, ric was quite important to me.

  my best memories of my youth were to a cars soundtrack.

  my first "naughty" car (tr7) had a cassette player precariously balanced in the hole in the dash and the cars were in it more than anything else..

  Last man, I came to realize that ALL of the pictures in the WT publications are staged. They all have subtle little aspects that he Witnesses pick apart as though it had been a candid , spontaneous picture. Spontaneity is not welcome among the Witnesses. You might even say that the pictures are dishonest.

  in questions from readers, it explains that when satan told eve 'you certainly will not die', he wasn't starting the doctrine of the immortal soul, but that rather came later, after the flood..
