  this has been a bug bear my whole life i think and not really sure how to address it as nobody else ever seems to do so.. and it relates to the question if god really created humans .

  he did a shithouse job in this regard.. i can`t speak for females this is entirely a male thing.

  from my perspective.. male adolescents at a very ,very young age , babies , get erections periodically and it has nothing to do with sexual fantasies ,because they don`t even have an awareness of sex between a male and a female at this time.. and it is second inbuilt nature to masturbate to relieve, get rid of the erection .

  during the first talk tonight, the brother giving the talk indicated that now comments were to include sisters!

  previously mostly only brothers were mentioned in most prayers or comments - has anyone else heard this tonight?.

  the meeting seemed to be positioned directly to and about sisters.

  i think that the big issue here is the double standard based on the location of the family members - if they are 'immediate' meaning they live at home in the same dwelling under the same roof then it's ok but if you are like me and living on your own, your family will absolutely avoid contact with you as that is the real jw policy..the old canada court trial and recent swedish news are totally out of context and the jw attorneys are complete tools and filthy liars....

  I am cut adrift and I keep going back to what I thought was spiritual before I was interrupted by the religion.

  a close-by young brother, actually your basic, garden-variety, sexually-repressed, 40-year old virgin in the congregation has been charged with sexual misconduct with a minor.

  i've known this guy since he was a kid and he has always been strange, in a nerdy kind of way.

  he always wants to sound knowledgeable and wise when he comments at meetings, but i think he is bi-polar and depressed about who he is in life.

  Millie, yes. If everybody on this forum posted a link to a local situation where a Witness has been charged with a sex crime, we would have a lot of reading to do!

  I feel badly for the parents of this kid. They have been plugging along for years, doing their best for the religion they think is true. They're "salt of the earth" type people, quietly helping others out when they could. I imagine they are taking this pretty hard.
