ROTFLMAO
I was just taking a swig of water when I read that. Now it's all over my desk!
Hehehe...sorry about that.
ok, not to change anyones religious beliefs or anything but just because in my weird head!
i think it would be funny to protest at the assembly, with a bunch of people wearing funny halloween costumes of all sorts.
i know that a lot of people here are against that sort of thing, but i want to do it just because it will funny.

at the conventions, there always seem to be parents gushing about how their kids are 'in the truth', pioneering, etc.
i'm wondering how many jw kids just flat-out reject all the jw b/s right from the start.
surely there are some kids who just say 'no way!
I agree with 1 out 8. I have also learned that the few who stay were the youngest in a family of at least 3 children.
I can think of a good reason for the youngest staying in...they got to watch the horrible treatment dealt out on their older siblings for leaving and didn't want the same to happen to them!
here's the text of interviews from the friday afternoon "young people - walk by holy spirit in the congregation" presentation at a 2008 jehovah's witness district convention.
this transcription approximately covers the second half of the presentation.

How funny Seeker! That with one being a Smurf holding a sign saying "I walked out of a KH...so should you!"

Thx for the WitchTower origami barfbag.I'm power vomiting so you may need to make a few more.
Let me go get a big stack of the ones with articles on avoiding "higher education" in favor of "service to Jehovah" instead...they'll make GREAT barfbags for all who need them!

Yeah I'm not talking about changing peoples minds on the org, just to have some fun. After all these people killed Christmas, birthdays, and Halloween for me from birth till I was 17 PAYBACK!!
But who are you really "paying back"? The people who are just as blinded by the cult-mentality as your parents were when they raised you in it? If anything I feel sorry for them...it's the GB I want to "pay back" for running the organization that ruined my childhood (I was also raised in...left for good at 18). The GB isn't going to care if you show up wearing Halloween garb to a convention...it just gives them something else to write about in their publications condemning us evil apostates.
BUT...if that's something you need to do to feel better then go for it! I've already joked about going to my local KH dressed like a common whore (none of them there know I'm DFed as I live 600 miles from my old KH now) and video taping the reactions. LOL I won't do it, but it was fun to think about!

It might be "fun"...but more importantly it will give the JWs all they need to validate to themselves how evil apostates really are and how right their wonderful GB is to protect them from such evils. I could never be a part of something like that...
there is a training program in the c.i.a.
and f.b.i.. you tell an interrogator 3 things about yourself.
one them has to be a lie.. if they can tell which statement is the lie, you flunk.. .
You are right, GF, me loving seafood is the lie...I hate most seafood (apart from tuna, fish and chips, and fish sticks).
my husband reminded me of something crazy we did when we first started dating, so i thought i'd share it here and see if anyone else has some fun stories to add!.
we went out to dinner one night...me in a nice dress and him in a dress shirt and slacks.
afterward we decided to hit the beach for a nice moonlit walk in the sand.
Am...I'm going to try and keep this thread from being all about what happened here on the board. There's plenty of other threads that discuss it, though, or maybe someone can PM you about it. Personally I'm done with the discussion, it went on far longer than it needed to in the first place.
Jak...really??? That's the best story EVER...keep 'em comin'!!!
