I know the answer......I know the lie....
there is a training program in the c.i.a.
and f.b.i.. you tell an interrogator 3 things about yourself.
one them has to be a lie.. if they can tell which statement is the lie, you flunk.. .

I have a very pleasant personality, people relate very well with me.
I am a very effective public speaker/motivational speaker. ( has great manipulative powers )
I am a 6-handicap in golf.
see yourself in 10 years?
will you be drastically different than you are now?
what are you doing to work towards your future?
Hmmmm...... 10 years you say...
I hope to have found my soul-mate and am living the dream life that I always wanted.....
i posted this in another thread, but thought that it was probably worth its own discussion.
apologies if you've seen this in the other thread.
here is a graphic that appeared in the june 1, 2005 watchtower.
(Side note: FWIW, I am very embarrassed to admit that until just before I got baptized, I honestly thought that field service was voluntary.)
It is....you just pay for it if you don't....
They keep track of the time because that is one of the bizarre things that they do....
I have a friend that is a Lutheran...trust me babe...they keep track of the money that you commit and they come after you if you don't pay.
I have a friend that is the "CFO" of a Parish in Long Island... You don't pay...they send you to a collection agency...
All religions have their little issues.
What separates the J-dubs from the rest is the mind washing and brainwashing that goes on. The constant beating of doctrine and the forced beating of your inner conscience... Yes, Jehovah's Witness is the worlds largest cult...there is no doubt about it. But tracking time is not what makes them a cult...

Every religion is ran as a business, don't kid yourself. The dubs are no exception. This data can be used for a multitide of reasons, defining territories, evaluating effectiveness, PR (and PR is HUGE)....the list is endless.
Bottomline, this is pretty normal stuff. The dubs have far greater issues than this.
As a side note, i would highly challenge the accuracy of the reports...I always "padded" my times. When they made the "10-hour Rule" I was consistantly around 4 or 5 yet reported 11.
And seriously...when we did the "after McDonalds" break and started on the backcalls, how can that time even count...I usually never left the car...
Take is for what it is....statistical data, nothing more...
You'd be surprised on how many JWs are alcoholics. It's the only vice that they are allowed to indulge, so alot abuse it like crazy.
I never said I was an alcoholic... **looks around** Errr, ummmm....what have you heard.... *drinking is only allowed in moderation* ****
Thank to sacolton for the avatar....
Welcome Yikes! I bet you have some great stories about the double standards, hypocritical, two faced dealings that go on in a lot of elders families. I've known a few in my time....
Look forward to getting to know you better!
Me too.....and stories I have.... The best part about being a "Jehovah" was getting all dressed up, giving a "talk" about something completely meaningless, and then partying like a rockstar after the "meeting". The girls were so wanting, most are ignored or abused, Yikes was there to make them feel better... (Oh the days...)... Ahhh...the good old days. I remember once after the Watchtower study they called a special meeting of the Elders and MS's... we were instructed to act more like "good christains" and set "better examples" for the congregation. Apparently, word on the street was that a few MS's had a "party" and maybe a little too much drinking had gone on.. We were put on notice. The funny part, I slept through most of the rant...I had such an extreme hangover from the night before and did not get home until around 4:00 am.... I was a naughty MS...but I sure had fun... I never drank until I became a Jehovah...then I drank like a fish....(do fish drink?)...
I suggest you have a really hot, intense lay. Then get so high you don't know which end is up and which is down. Break some rooms baby!
YIKES......sign me up.... Off to Room 23 for me... (A26 will understand....)
i can't just give up believing in god,but its understandable when god was taking from you,i hope you find peace gods not in a building!
and he does forgive you when you go to your private place sometimes you can't right a wrong,as long as you add the one you wronged and mean it,we pay all sins through death, christ did that for us!
