Thanks but is it expensive to have this done? Is it complicated could I do it myself ? I guess I would have to save his files to a disc and then add them afterwards right? I think another problem might be that he has software on his computer that he has borrowed, so I could not reinstall it (he would be really upset if I deleted his stuff). I mean I don't have anything real bad to hide. I haven't even dated anyone else yet but still I want my privacy. Is their another solution?

Long story but a couple of months ago I broke up with my boyfriend. I am giving him back his computer (I have my own)but used his pretty often. My question is how do I clean it up so that he can not get to my email addresses, favorite sites, old email etc. He is pretty savvy with computers and is taking the breakup hard. First he did not want to talk to me at all (did not want to get his stuff, hoping we might get back together). Now he has brought my stuff over and I have agreed to take his stuff on Monday (while he is at school). Still I have a funny feeling that he will try to snoop (I don't think he knows this site just that it is a JW place)
So what do I do? I have gone to many files and favorites and deleted them as well as emptied the trash bin. Is that all I have to do? Can he still dredge stuff up?Hungry4life of the paranoid class

Many are familiar with my "friend" I mention her in many of my posts. Well lately she has told me about some strange actions towards her by the elders and others in her hall. She is nervous and unsure of what is going on. Since I have posted many details about her situation I do have some concern that if someone sees my picture they could easily connect the situation (in the past she was warned by some nosy elderettes in her hall not to associate with me). I do not want to get her in any trouble. She knows about my posts and that I would never use her name but I feel I have to be careful.

I remember an old(maybe 60's)Watchtower article about this group. I don't know when it was published or the title but I believe it discussed how JW's are different. Has anybody else read it before?
Sorry I couldn't be of much help but I wanted to let you know one exists. -

I worked out for 20 minutes on one of those glider style machines. I thought I was going to die and I was only on the first level. I went and worked out a bit but was overwhelmed so I asked the trainer for some help. She was great she set me up on a routine and I will meet with her again on Monday. I have a feeling I am going to be sore tommorow. Oh yeah I bought a couple more work out outfits (I can't help it if Mervyn's is right around the corner from this gym).

well I joined a gym tonight (6 month membership). I also worked out (lower body) and jog walked for about 30 minutes. I also bought myself some workout pants and shirts. I am really excited about this but realistically the only thing leaner so far is my wallet.

You know you were a little girl of the 70's/80's
by closer2fine in1. you wore that rainbow shirt that was half-sleeves and the rainbow went up one sleeve, across your chest and down the other.
2. you made baby chocolate cakes in your holly hobbie easy bake oven.
you washed them down with the snoopy snow cone machine.

Safe4kids I hadn't even thought of that kinda gray before. Man am I niave I think you just put me into shock.
This thread is great really brings back memories. My sister and I named my baby sister (11 years younger) Janet after the girl on "Three's Company" that show was the highlight of our week. I also remember Rubiks cube and Mork and Mindy "NANO NANO" when I look at Robin Williams now I don't even associate it. Do you remember avon lip glosses that came in cute containers such as lip and soda bottle shapes. Heck that reminds me of soda "Bottles". What about the "Care Bears" and freezing your Charleston Bar so you could break it. And slime and silly putty (if anybody wants the recipe for making this stuff at home let me know). Also Cootie Catchers and who could forget "Pong" of course if you were really lucky you could play Atari. Hey and E.T. will be out again soon. We had frisbees and Duncan Yo Yo's. Oh and Dittos and Izod polos (not at the same time).
In highscool lace gloves and black plastic bracelets oh yeah and the cool guy was the one with the biggest boom box. Oh yeah and the main way I can still tell I am a child of the eighties is that I cannot seem to stop saying "like". So like thank you all for like brnging back all these like great memories -

WTBTS responds to my friends letter (scan)
by hungry4life inhere is the response my friend got from the wtbts.
in her original letter she respectfully stated her questions about 1914 and poured her heart out about her concerns on other doctrinal issues.
she sincerely requested help and wrote about feeling torn by the contradictions she had come accross in her personal study.
