i have to share this great valentines day experience with you.

i was in class today and this young, good looking guy came in with about 4 dozen, beautiful long stemmed roses.

he gave one to every female in class(old, young, thin, fat,gay, straight) who didn't have a valentine!

Lari I agree we all live with a double standard if a guy does this he is sweet, if a girl does it I am afraid she would be labeled as desperate and pathetic. I don't even know if any guys would admit to not having a valentine. I guess she could get away with it if she was really cute. But even though the guy in my story was attractive I think any guy out there could do this with the same results.

Interesting perspective BBoyneko but I don'think she would have appreciated him half as much as we did. I think he did it for emotional gratification not sexual. But then again I am saying that from a womans perspective. I guess that is what I would like to believe.

I have to share this great Valentines Day experience with you. I was in class today and this young, good looking guy came in with about 4 dozen, beautiful long stemmed roses. He gave one to every female in class(old, young, thin, fat,gay, straight) who didn't have a Valentine! I guess he had been doing it in all his classes that day. He told us that he has two female cousins and they had been talking and told him that they knew lots of women who weren't getting anything for Valentines Day because they didn't have a sweetie, so he decided to make sure every single woman he encountered that day had a rose.

It's funny but the single rose I received from this young man meant more to me than many other past years V-day presents. I was smiling all day as I saw women all over campus with their special rose.

And guys if you are thinking this guy is stupid think again I mean he has just left a lasting impression on every woman he has contact with on a daily basis. Not to mention all the friends each girl tells. As far as meeting women this guy is a genius.

Why is the WTBTS incorporated?

i was talking to my friend again and i shared the http://circuitleasing.com page with her (she says she ordered a keychain).

she was pretty disgusted by the blatant commercialism and wanted to know who owns the company?

she also mentioned the fact that the wtbts is incorporated and since neither of us is very business savvy i was wondering if any of you knows what that means.

Madapostate: just as you have not read any of my earlier posts (about 10) referring to my friend, I have not read all the earlier posts regarding circuit leasing. I believe very few of us are able to read every post on this board. Regardless of how long we have been around.

Please read my post again and notice that I am not looking for a scandal(you're term) but for information. I was simply giving a bit of background as to why the question was being asked.

I did not mislead a friend I simply shared a site with her, does the site exist? yes, it does what is so misleading about a fact?

I am not ashamed of myself. My friends are free to use their own God given mind to come up with their own conclusions. I do not force feed information ,nor do I demand for anyone to conform to my own personal opinions in order to continue being my friend (although that last statement does have a familiar ring, does it not?)

This is a bulletin board we come here to request/share information about a broad range of subjects. If you have an answer to my question on incorporation then I would love to hear from you. If you would like to simply direct me to the "circuit leasing not a scandal"
site then please provide me with a link so that I may inform myself.

Why do religions need to be Incorporated? Are the Mormons, Catholics and Baptists Incorporated?

About three years ago I used to drink this really great beer. It had a berry flavor to it but was not sweet at all (nothing like a wine cooler) It was brewed in Washington and the name was similar to Weizen Berry or something like that. Well they stopped carrying it locally and I haven't seen it since. Anybody oout there know what I am talking about? and the correct name? The cravings still haunt me.

i was talking to a friend and she told me that at her hall they gave a special part (i beleive it was during the meeting where they use the km)(man my memory is fading fast.

any way it is late and i am rambling.

my point is that they came out with a pretty balanced awake that made it sound as though a college education wa ok with them.

It makes no sense at all to me. Time is a precious gift from God so why not make the most of it. What is the point in working 60 hours a week doing back breakin or mind numbing work when you can spend 40 or less doing what you love and making far better money? With just a short investment of their time. In the long run they would have more time, energy and influence in the preaching work. Not to mention more money to donate to the society. I guess the truth boils down to keeping them from thinking for themselves. You can't make any money if all the members have gotten wise enough to move on to bigger and better things.
What really makes me sad is the 60+ sisters I know still cleaning houses. It must be so hard on them.

I was talking to another friend a while back she has been cleaning houses for about 5 years (she's 36 or so) she was doing her taxes and she had earned $13,000 dollars for the year(she is a single mom too). She works 40+ hours a week and sometimes drives 40 minutes to her jobs. Any way we talked about what I was up to (I was going to transfer to a University to work on my Bachelors) she was totally rude and said "I think you are just addicted to school, what was wrong with your old job you made $11.00 an hour) Yeah and everyone else there with a bachelors made $30-$35 ( I live in a very economically depressed area). I felt sad for her. Why doesn't it click with them? Ashi tell your dad he is not too old. I am 32 and far from being the oldest student in any of my classes.

I was talking to a friend and she told me that at her hall they gave a special part (I beleive it was during the meeting where they use the KM)(man my memory is fading fast I guess it is what I used to call the Thursday night meeting (very official) but I know it is different everywhere.

Any way it is late and I am rambling. My point is that they came out with a pretty balanced Awake that made it sound as though a college education wa ok with them. But then during that meeting they held a special talk (with a little skit) that talked about how some had mistaken that article to mean that it was ok to go to college. But in reality all it meant that it is ok to get the most basic education that you can and if that means a bit of college then so be it, but it was still not reccomended. Any way she felt upset by this and said that it seemed like the organization was trying to make one view public and in writing when their real view was spoken very directly to the congregation (covering their butts again).

Did anybody else hear about this? I am not sure how long ago it was. My guess is in the last year or so. How often have you all seen this kind of thing happen. I suppose the good thing is that this added to my friends doubts.

How do I disable my call waiting?

once again i am posting public proof of my ineptitude with computers.

i can't remember how to set it up so that the call waiting feature doesn't click me offline everytime someone calls.. i have windows 98 and use internet explorer.

please help
