Which songs give you goosebumps?
by LoveUniHateExams ini don't know if this topic has been covered before - it might 've been.. i also recommend flipper's excellent music thread ('what songs have you been listening to?
', or similar).. but, i'd just like to start a thread about certain songs giving me goosebumps.
y'know, when you hear a song that profoundly effects you in some difficult-to-describe way and the hairs on your arm stand on end even though the room temperature's comfortably warm.. so, which songs give you goosebumps?.

For sure - hats off, and thanks. We will never really know how many people have been helped by this forum, directly and IN-directly.
Every person who avoids this nasty CULT deprives it of strength, and lets it labor without further assistance, under its own inordinate weight.

Of course we know it’s an illusion but to the “underclass”(horrible term) they do portray a sort of safety in an otherwise dangerous world.
This is a very astute observation. Indeed, this very deception is what sunk my family into the religion's grasp in the first place.
Seen from the miserable vantage of barely literate, destitute alcoholics, the Jehovah's Witnesses might look like people who have their shit together.
And success looks very attainable, because all ya gotta do is believe the right stuff...

Is it possible to nullify a baptism?
by idk123 inhope you are all well,.
i was wondering within the organisation if there are any guidelines or grounds for nullifying a baptism.
see i grew up a jehovah's witness and was baptised at age 13, i didn't get baptised for the right reasons, i felt pressured to because my friends were getting baptised at the same time.

A minor cannot legally enter into a contract....so my personal opinion is that all baptisms prior to age of majority are all null and void.
This is also my opinion, also. I'm an enormous skeptic of government power, but we do currently entrust the state with upholding/nullifying contracts.
The act of baptism in the WT CULT religion carries with it extraordinary consequences, often accruing to minors.
Since there are already clear legal standards such that a minor may not enter into contract, my opinion is, if the state wants to TRULY protect minors and other individuals who can't protect themselves, I think that there ought to be legal prohibition on ANY minor entering membership to this (or perhaps ANY) religious organization, until such a person reaches the age of majority, and can bear the consequences for this, and other decisions.
Can you imagine what would happen to the WT cult once they couldn't baptize minors?
How many of us would've made VASTLY different decisions, if compelled to wait until 18?

What Will Happen To President Trump In Your Opinion?
by minimus inhe has been “impeached “.
will he be convicted in the senate?
is he so “damaged goods” that he is ineffectual?
-
hybridous
however he has been impeached. Please get the meaning of the word impeached correct as defined in the US constitution.
It is currently a real matter for a real legal debate. The impeachment process necessarily entails transmitting these Articles to the Senate, and of course, shifting the onus on that group to proceed.
If the House doesn't complete it's role, has the President truly been impeached?

The LONG VIEW is all that matters.
If you can't control the day-to-day...
Then you must strive to influence the year-to-year
because THAT!
I assure you...is a contest the JW life cannot hope to win...in the mind of a teenager...
You simply must give every appearance of tolerance, open-mindedness, long-suffering....
while THEY bother themselves to afford NOTHING of the sort...
These 'differentials' will not go unnoticed in the minds of the young people...

Don’t know your child’s age, but being a JW child SUCKS. Chances are, this child will not remain in the faith, as 2/3 of kids raised JW leave. Show your child unconditional love, and the good life outside of the organization.
Good comment! Now, the successes are pursued and attained via the LONG GAME. Got to apply LONG TERM THINKING in dealing with your kid.
