607bce or 586/587 bce ? which is it?

ok this is very difficult for me because i just started studing this question.

what i would like to know is what have you decided from your studies and does anyone know the statistics on how many beleive in the 607 dat and how many beleive in the 586/587 date.. the watchtower likes to say they agree with the 607 because that number is based on the bible when the 586/587 is based on secular history.. from what ive read so far the mojority thinks it to be 586/587 because most searches ive done give me that date.. what have you come up with in your research?

i feel like you almost need to be a scholar to figure this out.

They would ditch 1914 in a heartbeat but still have to wait for the old members to drop dead.

It's the same routine over and over keep them worried the end is coming and if you don't serve us Jehovah wil destroy you because were his people.

I rememeber when i fisrt started studying they were all over that Generation Schtick!

Everyone know's it to be a fact that all the medias whatever it may be in is used to control the way you think. I always thought Jehovah's organization was above that but found out they are on the forefront!

My wife is nuts i have known that for years and new that was a mistake after the first year!

She questions nothing they do and for the last 10 years she reall has never prepared for a meeting.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Says Keep testing whether you are in the faith. To me it is telling me to test to whether im being taught Gods word. Now i brought that scripture up to the rother and you know what his reaction was is that's not what it means.

Tell me what is your opinion on 2 corinthians 13:5 what does it mean?

title Zion's Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence. In 1909 the name was

changed to The Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence. In 1920, the

Watchtower Society reprinted all the issues from 1879-1919 in 7 volumes.

This set is known as Watchtower Reprints, which has itself been reprinted

through the years by other groups. Later on, in October 1939, the magazine
was renamed The Watchtower and Herald of Christ's Presence, and, from March 1940

until now, its full name has been The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom.

Billy the Ex-Bethelite/ celebrated Scholar i totally agree and thats why i started questiong it they have an agenda to prove the 607bce date to support there 1914.

I never understood why 1914 meant really anything and why it was significant!

I remember Jesus saying my yoke is light and i see the socities yoke as heavy as possible can be.

No other religion has more control over it's people on earth and thats not a compliment!

They have the same policy as the military (don't ask don't tell) as long as you stick to that all is well

Thx didgeridoo. for all that information because even tho i am inactive i have always thought it was still the truth.

what set me off was watching there own Dvd and all the propoganda. Pursue goals that hor God. it was horrible!

Ive always thought things were strange but just accepted them at face value.

this would also be my starting point of proving the 607 bce date to be false

Mr majestic thx for the funny comment ive read some of scolars nonsense and he never has anything substantial to say. His comments are all hate felt just like a good JW is good at hate everyone who disagrees and call them an apostate. Puts everything in a nice bundle and easy to remember!

Just to add my wife says im not supposed to have alot of questions now that i'm baptized i haven't even gotten thru one with the elders because they head right for the apostate rutine.

Thats what i'm hearing so far is that we say it's 607bce and because you are baptized you cannot question it.

Hahahah i don't get that and never will.

Under threat of difelloshipping you cannot question the socity.lol

I don't know any brothers and sister and never depended on them for anything.

What i was going to say is that you have been more helpful to me when the elders are only using threats.

If it's the truth why all the paranoia? we know the answer to that one.

Thx besty for the reference.

Now i know these numbers are based on secular history but you know how the society is.

Any chance they get they discredit or call it apostasy. I'm learning that one from experience

I challenged my wife on the number and i know her she won't do a damn thing to find out!

Nothing better than being called an aostate by your wife.
