Cardinal Health is on the list too. That's a big industry. Looks like she supported some links to the Vatican's healthcare monopoly.

The H.M. Riley Trust
by alice.in.wonderland inbecause someone, someone who misused their authority as financial information of such as is posted online relative to this trust is confidential communication between a financial planner, accountant, board of trustees and beneficiary of the trust; it's revealed the mutual funds owned by the riley trust have a "consumer staples/consumer goods" component, and one of the stocks in that component is phillip morris.. it's a completely immaterial amount of money and it's not generated by securities that are able to be traded, unless the entire mutual fund is sold off.
this is another fine example of people who have an axe to grind with jehovah's witnesses doing a whole lot of work to produce a "smoking gun" that really is nothing of the kind.. this stems from some financial information that was released related to a lady named henrietta riley.
apparently a wealthy jw that made the watchtower society the beneficiary of the income from her trust.

Something bad happens to weeds. They get chopped up and plowed under.
The good grain gets harvested and then the weeds go into the fire.

Family is gossiping about me, and then I get a letter

Do you realize that in each of your responses back that you still continue to imply that YOU NEED HELP????
You keep saying "but what have they done to help me" and "they are not helping me". It can be read that you do need help and are just not getting the spiritual help you need. Do you really need this kind of help from them? Between the lines it seems that you ARE asking for their help. If so, that's why she keeps recommending you go to the elders for that help.

Journey-on: "Also note the two butterflies on the left side. One is dark and facing left. The other is white and facing right. It hovers above a some geese. (Geese represent the Great Mother...think Mother Goose) Butterflies represent rebirth and transformation."
Oh, wow. I did not even recognize that was GEESE in the corner!!! I thought it was some kind of grey droopy flower blossoms! hahaha
I think you are onto something with the Mother Goose/Great Mother aspect.
Does "the Mother" represent "the church" or "Mary the virgin"? Could it be that the lines are intentionally blurred?

Mythbuster, I appreciate your contribution and participation.
I don't know how authoratitive the author of the wiki info would be, but that information leaves me less than satisfied and in some ways makes no sense.
"In both Eastern Orthodoxy and Western Christianity, Gideon's fleece was regarded as a type of the Annunciation to Mary, where Mary was the fleece, and Christ the dew."
Who is the one "regarding" this as such? Is it a particular religious sect? Is it folklore? Mary is the fleece and Christ is the dew? That sounds really lame and contrived and rather like grasping at straws. It is an absurd explanation, imo.
"Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. "
Is dew not a normal act of nature? Is this dew on the fleece anything that would be out of the norm? You are the Mythbuster....isn't there a logical scientific explanation rather than a supernatural one?
This reminds me of Urim and Thummim which was basically trickery and superstition.
Wouldn't this method of "receiving answers from God" based on wind blowing, or dew falling, or weather patterns, etc. fall under either "testing god" or some kind of 8 ball theology?

Rich Man and Lazarus
by Ding ini have never understood the watchtower's explanation of the rich man and lazarus story jesus told in luke 16. of course, they don't believe jesus is talking about what happens in an "afterlife" after people die.. but from the watchtower's point of view:.
1. who are the five brothers?.
2. why can't lazarus go witness to them?

Ding: "The lie Satan told Adam (which Eve bought into) was twofold, that if they ate of the forbidden fruit (1) they would not surely die"
Is that anything like "Millions Now Living Will Never Die"?

Journey-on: "Look at the border. Look at the images on the left side and those on the right. Do you notice anything especially?"
I hadn't really thought too much about the border before. The illustration is off center, and the right border is thinner than the left border. But I assume that has to do with the book binding aspects, as this illustration was for the Book of Hours.
I notice that the illustrations on the right border are all small buds, probably because the border is thinner. The border does not really seem to be an integral part of the illustration, though it could be and I'm just not getting it.
The flowers on the left and bottom seem rather arbitrary and I don't see any special meaning or reason in it. Maybe you do?

Journey-on: "If you're talking about the thing on the ground in the pool of water falling from heaven, I think it is a fish. "
Does it not seem very strange to you that the rest of the picture has painstaking detail and clarity and then suddenly there is this splat/blob/fish whatever it is...that is pretty much unidentifible and out of focus with the rest of the illustration?
It seems with the streak on it coming from the sky that it really has more importance placed on it than the subject matter that first meets the eye in the forefront of the picture.
The splat just doesn't seem in keeping with the meticulous detail of the rest of the painting. But yet there seems to be an overpowering focus on it.
Also I wonder, if it's a fish, why would it be out of water? Or maybe that's the message "a fish out of water"; something being where it doesn't belong(??)

Journey-on: "you do know that the unicorn has been a symbol of Christ".
I know that has been said, but again, I think that is just someone's opinion. Art is subjective. Doesn't mean you have to believe the unicorn represents Christ. The illustration may speak something entirely different to others.
I suppose unless we actually knew from the horses mouth, the illustrator, what he intended to say through the symbols, then all we have is guess work and whatever our own imaginations make of it.
Like I said, there's no right or wrong answers. It is whatever you can imagine it might be trying to say.
By the way, I thought the lamb was supposed to be the symbol of Christ. Do you think the unicorn is supposed to represent Christ moreso than the lamb? Any particular reasons? Just curious.
