  because of the injustices and bad experiences, have you become a more discerning person?

  But don't you think that's a good thing? Maybe in times passed you were not able to discern when a smile was "fake" or that someone had an ulterior motive for pretending to be interested in you? Hell yeah, it hurts to realize that someone is using you or wants something from you. I think the problem is that we sometimes project our own trusting nature onto others, only to find out later that they are not living by the same honorable standards that we try to uphold.

  It would really be nice to live in a world where you could let down your guard and take everyone at face value. But it isn't in this world.

  if you had the legal choice... it's friday would you buy a 20 pack of beer or a $20 bag of weed.. the topic of never got drunk!

  made me think would it be better to get stoned or drunk?.

  i can function 100% the next day after being stoned...... i can function ??

  I use Round-up. Yeah, I know it's evil Monsanto (Mon=Latin, "old man" Santos="Saint") but I have to do it. I got the green vines that have stickers and the roots are deep. Also poison ivy. So it's either dig till my back goes out and suffer the plague of the ivy itch and sores. Not much choice, ya know?

  I'll be glad when Paradise gets here. There won't be any more obnoxious weeds or mosquitoes.

  exodus 38. in the first verse the altar is described as "five cubits in length and breadth".... "it was foursquare".

  in verse 4 "he made for the altar a brasen grate of network under the compass thereof".

  seems to describe a compass and square, does it not?

  About the kids...you might of done a good thing to plant seeds. Young people today are smarter because they have more educational tools at their fingertips. I wouldn't worry about it.

  I used to like chocolate until I read some report about chocolate contamination about twenty years ago. The document referenced was an official gov. doc. and it listed how many roach parts and rat hairs per pound are allowed in the inspection samples. Then, the article that referenced the legal amount of contaminants went on to disclose and document how much over the limit a certain well known chocolate factory had been found consistently. Apparently, they just get slapped with some fines and a reprimand. Business as usual and no one is any the wiser and nothing ever changes.

  I have wondered if the contaminants like this and the spread of insect bacteria could be one reason so many people have developed "allegies" to "chocolate".

  I used to really like Hershey's kisses and the chocolate dessert mints with the little sprinkles on them. I can't remember the last time I ate chocolate.

  I don't ever eat chocolate in summer. One time I bought a peppermint pattie and there were worms in it which I discovered on the second or third bite. It was summer and sometimes chocolate can go bad in transport due to heat.

  I would think the best time to buy chocolate is after Halloween and preferrably in colder months. Candy is probably fresher after Halloween when it is restocked.

  Well, sorry if I rained on your parade....but now you know.
