There will be a cut-off point. Like an old Baptist song I heard ..."when the trumpet blows and time shall be no more!"

But I think Clint is holding out a "last call" opportunity for your loved ones. When you do make that final, last effort...you will know if there is any indication that a relationship can be salvaged or whether it is totally a lost cause. Then, you can walk away with your head high, without guilt, without regret, that you did all you could and the fault lies not with you.

If you see that the relationship is beyond resolution, you don't beat a dead horse.

Clint is not advising anyone to convince their loved ones through words, debate, or revelation of the evils within WT. He advocates just being there and showing affection through ACTIONS, not words. Let's see which will speak louder.

In the video, he mentions "natural affection." You will remember the scripture that 'in the last days, there will be those without natural affection'. This is exactly what the WT is promoting by separating families through shunning. It is a natural affection that parents should love their children--no matter what! And children should love their parents--no matter what! This natural affection is destroyed by WT dictates. Maybe your loved ones will be disturbed when they begin to realize this. Let your actions speak for you.

I give this guy an A+. What an awesome plan. And the words of challenge he used on the elders was perfect. They were hung by their own misuse of scriptures!

I believe the whole reason for the shunning policy is because the WT is afraid of you! They are afraid of the reasoning influence you may have on others. When you don't give your permission for them to boss you, your strength of character is a threat to their need to control. Stand your ground peacefully.

I would say that in order to make this plan really work, you would need to be careful and probably avoid altogether discussing any doctrine or scripture with your friends and loved ones. Do nothing that would lead to argument or debate.

Since the JWs I know don't talk about much of anything except their doctrines and such tripe, I would suggest make a mental list of possible topics of conversation before you go. If they start leading into scripture (as they may be tempted to "test" you) be prepared to create a segue and steer to another subject that is neutral.

It would be wonderful if as many people as possible would join in the "resurrection of the dead".

How do I know that the WT is afraid of you? Because I was always taught that snakes are more afraid of you, and it has been evidenced by watching snakes "run" in another direction when someone is approaching.

Stand up to the snakes. They are nothing!

The Dawkins Delusion

so, i recently finished reading "the god delusion" by richard dawkins.

i read it with a certain amount of hesitation.

after all, i am still recovering from my disappointment at realizing that the wts is not god's organization.

Brotherdan: I am merely writing how I think Richard Dawkins book contains quite a bit of intellectual dishonesty.

Lies are usually mixed in with truth as it tends to make the lies stronger. You are probably picking up on those inconsistencies. Trust your intuition in all things. Your conscience is your spirit speaking. Ask questions. Could the guy possibly have an agenda? Is he steering the facts to achieve his point rather than weigh objectively?

Could it be that the person is simply mistaken and is presenting his opinions in a faulty and incorrect manner through his wording? Or is it a deliberate deception evidenced by repetitive patterns?

Just question everything.

Aliens might have souls and could choose to be baptised if humans ever met them, a Vatican scientist said today. The official also dismissed intelligent design as “bad theology” that had been “hijacked” by American creationist fundamentalists.

Guy Consolmagno, who is one of the pope’s astronomers, said he would be “delighted” if intelligent life was found among the stars. “But the odds of us finding it, of it being intelligent and us being able to communicate with it – when you add them up it’s probably not a practical question.”

Speaking ahead of a talk at the British Science Festival in Birmingham tomorrow, he said that the traditional definition of a soul was to have intelligence, free will, freedom to love and freedom to make decisions. “Any entity – no matter how many tentacles it has – has a soul.” Would he baptise an alien? “Only if they asked.”

Consolmagno, who became interested in science through reading science fiction, said that the Vatican was well aware of the latest goings-on in scientific research. “You’d be surprised,” he said.

No matter how negative the JW focus is toward the horrors of this world and the futileness of life, there is much beauty and mystery to be found here. If someone gives you a gift, do you gripe about the color of it or a smudge or a chip on it....or do you appreciate it for what it is, attempt to repair the chip or polish the smudge to make it better, and find joy in the receiving of it?

I think you will find good or bad depending on what your focus is. And WT literature seems to constantly direct people toward viewing what is destructive, fearful, distressing,and confusing. This is done by both the visual illustrations of calamity and the negative word patterns being used. It keeps one in a psychic cesspool. When you fall into their patterns you are giving all your energy to negative frequencies toward chaos. This can rapidly deplete both your energy and ambition. You loose your will.

Can we change the outlook of negative JWs trapped into these detrimental patterns by presentation of subtle new ideas that do not challenge their "religion" but rather spark an interest in the mystery of creation?

Could the first century apocalyptists movement be based on this one scripture, although much more could have been written about this that was edited out.

1st CenturyJesus said, "Verily I say unto you, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." (Matthew 16:28) This implies that the Second Coming would return within the lifetime of his contemporaries, and indeed the Apostles expected Jesus to return before the passing of their generation.

Look how many times "the end" has been claimed throughout the centuries!

I suppose many people think that angels are some fantasy winged creatures from another dimension. However, the definition of an angel is simply a "Messenger".

Could it be that the "angels" we will judge are actually the "Messengers" (humans) of the congregations that claim to represent the Creator, but who are mercenaries and lawless ones? When their man-made "laws" (rules, dogma, etc.) hurt or harm others physically, emotionally, mentally.... then it makes them in opposition to the natural laws which teach do no harm to your fellow man and to love one another. They are the lawless ones spoken of.

They will not be judged from the position of ego, but rather from the words and instruction of TRUTH.

WatchTower and her Harlot puppets better beware that the cutoff is at hand. When the door on the ark closes, it will be those who purposely used and abused others who will be left in the rising tides and rain.

JW's unwritten dress code and personal appearance standards-FROM WHERE?

one thing that always use to puzzle me was the personal appearance standards, espessially for meetings and service.

the men always were expected to where a tie, suit, jacket, etc.

no beards were allowed-mustaches were ok!

My friend was pulled aside and the one who directed the bible study said to him: "Do you know why I never call on your to pray?" My friend said "no". Then the pompous prick said to him "Because you don't wear a tie."

I think it hurt him for a long time. He never forgot those words. He wasn't good enough for God because he was not dressed right.

I think deep down, my friend may have known there was something "not quite right" with the org. but just couldn't put his finger on it or reason it out. If he had had a non-JW friend at the time it happened, maybe someone could have brought up the absurdity of it and what Jesus's rules were. I think it could be very positive to encourage JWs to have non cult friends. Especially those who might be questioning and seeing the cult for what it is.
