  Not only was I shocked and saddened to learn that he’d been taken from us at such an early age, but recalling the genuine guy that he was I got choked listening back to (a recording of) him explaining to me in 2004 how he’d like to be remembered. He summed himself up perfectly: “Oh f***, I don’t know. However they want! As somebody that didn’t bullsh*t. Whatever I did, at least I meant it. That’s all I can say really cos I usually do mean it. I’m not full of sh*t like a lot of people. Whatever I do, whether it sells or not, at least I mean it at the time and I’m honest about it. Which I think is the only way to be.”

  Jesus' Physical Resurrection = Take the Ransom Back?

  in my "study," we have encountered the matter of whether or not jesus' physical body rose from the dead.

  i brought up a couple of scriptures that seem to indicate physical (john 2:18-22 and john 10:17,18).

  the jw's i am "studying" with explained how, although those verses may appear to indicate physical, jesus couldn't have meant that because if he physically rose from the dead, he would have taken back the ransom.. now that i know the wt reasoning on this, can someone point me to another source, link, book, article, etc.

  Vision Theory

  Thus, the belief in the resurrection could have originated when some followers of Jesus imagined that he was using visions to communicate with them. Then later, as the message was carried to people in other communities, stories about visions could have gradually evolved into stories of a real physical resurrection.

  Spiritual Resurrection Theory

  Some modern Christians, and even a few theologians, believe in a spiritual (rather than bodily) resurrection of Jesus. According to this view, his human body either vanished or was removed by God, and he reappeared in his eternal spiritual form.

  Some scholars think that this was also the original belief of the earliest Christians, and that the idea of a bodily resurrection didn't appear until later. Possible evidence for this can be found in some of the earliest writings, including the letters of Paul and the Gospel of Thomas. Surviving writings of the gnostics indicate that this group of early Christians may have believed in a spiritual resurrection. In fact the evidence suggests that different groups of early Christians disputed this very matter, and some scholars suspect that several passages in the gospels may have been invented to try to refute the idea that Jesus arose in spiritual form.

  with the new " overlap generation " theory that the wt society is pushing onto rank and file jehovah's witnesses since last year this article i found really heavy hitting in the jw version of the wt.

  the wt society is leaking oil in that confidence is low among jw's in not really buying into the " generation overlap " theory as many younger jw's are exiting the organization.

  so what better way to try reeling members back in by giving them an article entitled " do not deceive yourself with false reasoning " !

  So are they now saying that Armageddon is to be ...delayed?

  Maybe next year they will say it's postponed.

  And if anyone at all is left in the congregation after that...the last mag will be an article on Armageddon cancelled.

  my mother-in-law is making leaps and bounds in her progress to get out of the watchtower.

  for those of you that don't know, she is df'd but has been working on "coming back".

  recently i've been able to exchange emails about the dangers of the organization and share jesus with her.

  when the flames fall upon the body, the limbs contract and the open mouth seems almost to be laughing until the contracted body slips quietly into the brazier.

  Every time you go to a KH you are surrounded by blind people. It's obvious they do dream. Ask them about paradise.
