These are some funny answers as well as more intriguing questions.
At least I can tell you are thinking about it; there just doesn't seem to be much to work with, though, in the way of logic in what's been written.
So maybe there is something else to be discovered here.
I don't know what it is yet.
All I know is that the Vatican pre-empted a lot of other scrolls to include this, back in the day. So maybe we should all write the pope.
Or since the Watchtower is so damn wise, has anyone ever written them to ask questions like these?

Why would they choose a CALF as opposed to a bull or a cow?
A bull, I could understand. It might represent strength, might, presence, aggression, stamina....many strong defensive properties a heathen might look for in a deity.
I could even understand a cow. It might represent fertility as the reproductive animal, or food, or nurturing and protectiveness.
But a CALF? To me, a calf represents the innocence and stupidity of youth, helplessness, dependency.
So what's the message here? Why would these people choose a diety that seems inept at guidance, defense, and protection?

The point is that I am curious because I haven't seen much discussion on it. And it seems improbable the way that scripture tells it. Something's missing here.

I was wondering about that. That seems reasonable. But you know Hollywood. I think it was portrayed in some movie to be about 20 feet. And here is the kind of stuff we find in the bible story books.

I have seen pictures of people who have drank collidial silver and they turned blue. Permanently. I wonder what the dangers and health hazards would be if they did actually drink gold dust. Or if there might be some curative advantage?

Of course they had to melt the gold down first to even make the calf. How would they have the technology to make a fire that hot out in the desert?
What would be required to make a fire hot enough to melt gold under primitive conditions and limited desert resources?
