The Jubilee (Hebrew Yovel ????) year, is the year at the end of seven cycles of Sabbatical years (Hebrew Shmita), and according to Biblical regulations had a special impact on the ownership and management of land, in the territory of the kingdoms of Israel and of Judah; there is some debate whether it was the 49th year (the last year of seven sabbatical cycles, referred to as the Sabbath's Sabbath), or whether it was the following 50th year. The English term Jubileederives from the Hebrew term yobel (via Latin:Jubilaeus), which in turn derives from yobhel, meaning ram; [ 1 ] the Jubilee year was announced by a blast on an instrument made from a ram's horn, during that year's Yom Kippur. [ 2 ] The biblical rules concerning Sabbatical years (shmita) are still observed by many religious Jews in the State of Israel, but the regulations for the Jubilee year have not been observed for many centuries.

The Dawn Bible Students Association is a legal entity used by a branch of the Associated Bible Students.
It was founded with the intention of becoming a publishing house to begin distributing the Studies in the Scriptures series written by Charles Taze Russell which the Watchtower Society had ceased publishing and distributing in 1928.
In 1966 the Dawn published 'Oh, the Blessedness'; a small booklet which rejected most of Pastor Russell's views of Bible prophecy and end time predictions.

All good Dave. Thanks for asking.
How about you?
Take care,
Ismael
No, I don’t want to live forever.
My mind can't comprehend “forever”; it seems like a very long time.
I mean, do I want to be in this word (or any other word for that matter) 40, 50 years from now? Yes
Do I want to be in this word 400,000 years, 40,000,000 years from now? I don’t think so.
How long is forever?

and why do people go on anti-depressants?
why do most people get depressed?.
most people get depressed because something is wrong in theyre lives.
Sorry that I have nothing to add to this post, but I love numbers.
I am not saying that there are not many intelligent, well balanced witnesses.
Let’s not take into account their isolation from society the unrealistic view of the world and total reliance on a group of leaders that claim angelic direction.
I have no idea how watchtower activities (10/12 hours a week?), failed prophecies, shunning (fear they may be wrong or they are wrong but I don’t want to lose my family) and doctrinal reversals are going to impact those numbers.
I read somewhere that mental illness rate of witnesses is approximately 10 to 16 times higher than the rate for the general, non-witness population. Is this true?
Using the facts and figures about depression provided earlier;
“Nearly 5-10% of persons in a community at a given time are in need of help for depression.”
8% median, 6,500,000 witnesses = 520,000 witnesses are in need of help for depression
If that old study is correct. Do you know what happens if you take 520,000 and increase it 10 times?
“As much as 8-20% of persons carry the risk of developing depression during their lifetime”
15% median, 6,500,000 witnesses = 975,000 carry the risk of developing depression during their lifetime
If this old study is correct. Do you know what happens if you take 975,000 and increase it 10 times?
Take care,
Ismael
"inciting hatred on the basis of race, religion, gender, nationality or sexuality or other personal characteristic.".
is this seriously one of the forum's rules to follow?
how can that be so when this whole forum is based on inciting hatred towards one religion.....jehovah's witnesses.......wow this is funny!
You say that Jehovah’s Witness are close minded, but I have never met any Witness’s that are as hateful and nasty and judgemental as you all
My mom is a very critical and judgemental woman.
I personally never judge a person just because they are NOT a witness. Yes, I am aware that is NOT what we are taught,
One thing I have learned over the years is that no matter what faith you are, there are always going to be those who are judgmental over some in the faith who are not as strong as they are in their love for God.
I have not always been strong in my faith. I do NOT go to ALL of the meetings ALL of the time. I struggle to go out in service, but will defend my faith when challenged.
I am not as strong in my faith as some in the congregation.
Yes, the Watchtower does give us advice to follow, but I am fully aware that they are imperfect men. I answer only to the 1 who matters and that is my Heavenly Father Jehovah.
Welcome:
Would you make up your mind already?
Take care,
Ismael

when a person no longer cares about the past, they will accept the present without question.
the witnesses we talked with are always interchanging the gb/faithful and discreet slave for example, even if you point out the origins of each.
doesn't matter.
Anti-Christ:
Hope all is well. I like your post; I think that they can’t tell a lot of things from the start because they won’t get a lot of converts if they do.
People would think that it’s a cult.
I found a few more, not really sure.
Please if someone likes to refute or dispute any of them, please read this page first. Propaganda techniques and try to respond without the use of poor reasoning in support of its conclusion.
In other words don’t use fallacious argument to provide good reasons to believe its conclusion. An argument can be fallacious whether or not its conclusion is true:
