I am thinking and looking for specific sections on those rather large websites that detail any step by step actions to be taken. thanks though dude I appreciate the suggestion:)

i am especially interested in situations in which a df person was able to finally break down the barriers.

this week is spring break for school children and so my kids are home this week.
while i was at work yesterday some witnesses paid a visit to my home and tried to talk my 14 year old son into having a bible study.
when my son politely refused, saying that he could not commit to a study without first asking permission of his parents, they told him that they knew many children who had defied their parents to study with the witnesses and come to meetings.
Mrs Rocky2
"The congregation you are dealing with must be exceptional."
Maybe. But I would state I am more so. Besides my extreme good looks, I have dealt with the elders. Someone online complained to them that I was an apostate. I wont go into all of the details when they came but I covered a couple of points with them, both at the initial phone call, and later in person.
1...They had no authority over me because:
A...Authority is given by consent, allowed by assent, or taken by
force. I didnt consent actively, was not passively assenting
nor does the society take it by force, Do they? <innocent look>
B...Because I had not given permission for my congregation records
to be transfered to them, and they never were, never shall be
my elders.
2...The Society claims that they do not shun former members. That I
have ceased to be involved in the faith and thus, despite their
asking me numerous times, I had no need to DA myself, and could not
be dfed. (It is on their website that they do not shun)
3...I am in fact an apostate, I told them this plainly. An apostate
is anyone that leaves any religion, faith, belief, philosophy,
world view, or political party. Not someone who is opposed to that
former viewpoint.
4...That I did in fact 'attack' the witnesses, demonstrating that they
are demonized for holding to wicked claims, such as their
pernicious belief in the mythical land of China, which everyone
knows does not exist, and is merely another conspiracy of the
United States Government, in order to keep us fearing the 'unseen
enemy across the sea.'
So I was careful in how I addressed them, this being a glipse of what happened when they came here. Nevertheless, even before, and after this, they have not suggested to her to divorce me. And frankly I am fairly lousy at being a husband. Well, I am a great *modern* husband, believing in the full equality of the sexes, women had their time to sit around, watch tv and drink coffee, now it is the mans turn.

4christ:
You stated:
>I am familiar with Bible teachings. And do the JW's not claim to
>follow God and Bible teachings? Is not the fifth commandment (or is
>it the sixth) for children to honor their parents? Shouldn't JWs
>encourage children to do this, even if the parents are "worldly",
>since the Bible states how children should behave in respect to
>their parents?
First, no the jehovahs witnesses do not follow bible teachings. Frankly none of the groups Ive seen do. Or perhaps I should say that they, like the rest of christians, selectively follow aspects of the bible. The JWs are just a bit more whimsical in their approach.
I still think it ultimately rests with the parents. Strong foundations will result in a strong resistance to anything contrary. My sister teaches her kids about "The Goddess" which is of course utter nonsense because everyone knows the Deity is male. (Except Bridh, and she is absolutely yummy, came to me in my dream yesterday to answer a question I had been asking, and one thing led to another, and..um. Ahem.. I digress) Anyhow, my neices will forthrightly state when I antagonize them, "do you want to thank jehovah for the food?", WE DONT WORSHIP JEHOVAH WE PRAY TO THE GODDESS!!! They are Five and Four respectively. Eventually they will grow older, and less deluded and realize that they themselves are goddesses and they dont need to worship anyone except themselves. But for the time being I can guaruntee the JW arrows are not going to puncture their armor.
this gives a whole new meaning to a "hiding place from the wind.".

That is the point I was making, all of these things happen all the time in every group. I do not even raise an eyebrow when I hear that a witness defrauds this or that one. I do however raise an eyebrow that at one time I was naive enough to actually expect that they would not. And that really is what this is about, our former expectation that they wouldnt do that. And a subtle, psychological underpining, nawing at the back of our heads, that they still wont. As you said these are elders and they are supposed to be shepherding, protecting the flock. Well, that may be what we think. But I dont think they are supposed to be protecting the flock. I think they exist to protect the interests of the organization and its leaders, including its financial interests. You, and I, and the rest of the exes, are not even a blip on their radar screens. I'm happy to be out and aware of such things now. Rather than being taken in by JW and other 'loving' christian scams.

Ok people, for those of you who dont know...
Yes something IS changing in the watchtower society
and JW religion. The same thing that happens with
EVERY religion. For a time, a little over one
hundred years or so, all new religions (which
are really old religions rehashed) are entitled
to FRINGE RELIGION status. They can be odd,
and do things that others think are downright
strange. Eventually however they lose their
entitlement to being a FRINGE RELIGION. When
this happens they have to move into the main stream.
They may keep a hold on some odd doctrines,
look at christianity if you want an example
of stupid, supercilious doctrines. But they
have to start ACTING like the rest of society.
This is what is happening with Jehovahs Witnesses.
You can think it is loss of membership, or
that you, the apostates are having some effect
on defeating this big bad evil monster, or that
'god' (god grr cant you say GODDESS since ALL life
proceeds from the female, this is a known fact)
or that 'god' is finally doing something about
this unchristian christian wannabe sect. But you
are mistaken. It is nothing so complicated.
Their time as a fringe religion has run out and
now other fringe groups will take over, like
Scientologists, ICOC (International Churches
of Christ, not to be confused with Church of
Christ), and my own personal favorite (in fact
my own creation I being the founder of this
particular cult) The Church Of The UN( that is UN
as in UN-Believer, UN-lettered, UN-learned, NOT
United nations).
Now the next thing I have to say is of even
greater importance. We need as a group to
demand links to BETTER pictures. As far as I
can tell butalbee sorta looks like a hottie.
But for all I know she might not even be a broad,
she could be a dude. In which case I will be
questioning seriously my sexuality. But,
if the profile pics were larger, then I could
lust easier over her pic, if indeed she really
is a she.
Speaking of which go to http://profiles.yahoo.com/hyghlandyr
and then click on VIEW MY PHOTOS and you can see
photos of me.

when my son politely refused, saying that he could not commit to a study without first asking permission of his parents, they told him that they knew many children who had defied their parents to study with the witnesses and come to meetings.
>>How can this organization claim to be "God's mouthpiece"
>>and yet encourage children to defy their parents and
>>keep secrets from them? Arent children supposed to
>>honor their parents, not lie to them?
Come now let us be realistic. Have you all forgotten the
teachings so quickly? Are you not aware of the statements
made to the following "we must obey god as ruler rather
than men?" If you, like them, honestly thought this was
the one true way, you would also perhaps think that it
is vital to teach even children.
Now taking a step back, one fella did post the official
teaching of the watchtower. Go ahead and make a presentation
to kids, ask if their parents allow them to choose their
own reading material. When I was a pioneer, when I was
a publisher, those are exactly the same words I was taught
and used. Let us not blindly assume that this is just
another mark of the big bad evil corporation. This woman
in particular, perhaps even her congregation, acted, not
the WTBTS. This is not to say they are not causing harm.
But please, lets 'sue'? Lets scare them? PLease
How about calling the local congregation during a meeting
time, informing one of the local elders, have your son
there to tell the elders also. Inform them that as a member
of the community you were unaware that it was a teaching
of Jehovahs witnesses that kids should disobey their parents.
Further inform them that your son had said he had to get
permission first from his parents and the '" ministers" that
came to the door didnt even wait for him to see but
automatically assumed he would be denied permission.
My wife drives people to the meeting all the time. I am
an apostate. Further I am an Anti-christ. The elders know
this. She used to drive to the MORNING and the EVENING bookstudy
to which I objected. When I informed the elders of this,
despite the fact that I am an apostate, and they know it,
they still told her to cut back. When she complained to
sisters that I was complaining about it they told her, maybe
I had my reasons maybe not. But to talk about it.
And what is all this bunk that THEY are DEAD SET on destroying
the family. BULL. As I said I am an apostate, the elders
havent said didly squat to my wife about it. They dont harrass
her, they dont complain to her, they dont WARN her. They dont
even broach the subject at all with her.
What they are set on is having the entire family remain
Jehovahs Witnesses, or becoming jehovahs witnesses. And they,
like every religion on this planet, are intent on controlling
the members of those families, to varying degrees.
Instead of becoming so explosive, inform. Your mother? Mom,
I will not have my kids taught these things. If you do so,
then I will simply not bring them over anymore.
Inform the congregation of the actions of their ministers.
Then
Move
On.
Who gives a flippin rat really. The only ones they would get
away with this, are families who are not there for their kids.
Some dad is beating his son, or some mother is a souse. And
frankly maybe those kids would be better off at the hall,
maybe not. But I will say this, I was far safer at the hall
once I got away from my mother, and father (when I was 18,
and 20 respectively) than when I grew up with them. My mum
was Catholic/charismatic. My father was a psuedo witness.
And finally, instead of shielding your kids from these things,
why not teach them? I cannot for the love of the Goddess understand
why so many ex witnesses toss their stuff. They dont consider
that in the future they might need that same literature to
protect someone else. Teach your kids, this is what JWs teach,
see right here in the watchtower. Now, does this make sense?
Do you see why that doesnt make sense? What do you think of that?
For that matter, here is what wicca teaches, here is what the nazis
taught, here is what catholicism teaches, this is what buddhists
teach. Hide and cower and quiver and they will discover it sooner
or later.
this gives a whole new meaning to a "hiding place from the wind.".

>> What is so irritating is that JWs say they don't
>> have a clergy.... They DOOOOO......ok its unpaid
>> and they don't have a special title
>> that is supposed to in front of their name, but they do bear
>> titles and are given 'DOUBLE HONOR'
What amazes me about exes is that they act like they actually
expect Jehovahs Witnesses somehow to be different than other
religions. The brain washing of religion in general runs so
deep that people still in this age think it is of benefit.
And with exes, ex mormons, ex witnesses, ex catholics, they
run on decrying even the least or the great 'misdeeds' of
the leaders or flock of the religion in question.
For my part I trust people, of all religions one hundred and
fifty percent. But I cover my own ass anyhow. What makes me
think that a catholic is going to harm me less than a witness?
Or a painter less than a lawyer? Or even, My own people, Irish,
less than say a German?
As far as old people, and how they are taken in by all these
scams all of the time...how why? Arent we taught that they
are wiser than their youngers? Not so if they keep being tricked
all the time. Has not life given them enough experience to
double check everything and get a LAWYER to check everything.
Or a proper expert? Have we forgotten the statement, SECOND
OPINION?
We, not others, are the captains of our own souls, and it is
time people started standing up for themselves.
as we have known for some time the bible didnt describe mary as a virgin but simply as a young woman.
that is what the word which for so long was translated virgin means in the original text.
read about it in the independent:.
Come now, whether the bible uses this word or that word to describe mary is irrelevant. Why? because neither she, nor jesus, nor the apostles, are factual people. They never existed. The concept of mary being a virgin has nothing to do with the literal claim that some woman had never had sex and spontaneously gave birth. Rather, it has to do with the Goddess of antiquity. The Virgin, the Maiden, and the Crone. Mary is just a rebirth of them, and a combination, not only of these three in one goddesses, but a combination of all the three in ones, and all the other goddesses...or I should say a recombination as the concept goes back before the existence of any of these religions.
do any of you recall the persecution paranoia, that swept across the congregations in the late 80s?.
the great tribulation was believd imminent, and bro's were getting excited and encouraging everyone to be ready.. the book study was highlighted as a meeting that must be never missed!
because if a sudden ban came upon the kingdom hall meetings, then only those who knew where the current book study was held, would get spiritual food and help.. the next thing was "hide your watchtower literature" in places where the authorities would not find it.. jws, including myself, consequently hid literature in the walls of our homes.
I got baptised in 88 and I remember those talks. Make it to the bookstudy. It is amazing now how silly that sounds. I am here laughing my Nothingist (thats my religion..or lack thereof) tucous off as I think about it. I remember my dad (he and I got baptised the same day) sitting around for our one and only family study. THE GREAT TRIBULATION is COMING! They are going to torture us in ways you cant imagine!, they might tear the skin right off our bodies! But we must be ready to serve Jehovah!... I remember thinking, um, what AM I doing here?
Then I think I went downstairs and masturbated or something.
Also gotta love those stories darlin about Jehovah CLOSING the EYES of the police, you are right they are most likely just lazy. But if he can close their eyes why not just keep them from being banned in the first place? Unless he let them be banned so he could show that he could close the eyes of the police. Furthermore if he closed their eyes why bother hiding the literature at all? Or hiding the fact that you are JW? Hey Dude, I'm a bible student...no seriously I am..Jehovah is closing your eyes right now so you wont know it, but I am telling you I am, go ahead arrest me big shot, see what a kick in the backside you get from Jeeeeeeeehoooooovah then.
AHAHA Speaking of persecution fever, why is it that Doubles (and other christians) can tell me, the unbeliever, their viewpoint, but if I tell them mine, I am trying to steal their faith, and am persecuting them? Why do they hold us up as examples of scoffers in the last days (wait was the the last hour? gee how long has that hour lasted?) when in fact by telling me the nonesense fables they believe (fable = literalized myth) they are persecuting my mind by cluttering it with lots of useless junk.
And is it my masochistic nature that keeps me going back for more? Or my sadism since christians are usually an easy lot to play with?
But honestly, what is it with feeling if you tell your viewpoint you are enlightening, if anyone else does they are persecuting. It goes on in the chat rooms all the time, the sorta smug commentary...
Ok I was gonna quote but next time I will try to record a couple of them in action and post it on my webpage for yall...it actually is pretty funny.
