If it were me, I would say: Why not open up the march to anyone who wants to protest the policies of Jehovah's Witnesses? Why the restrictions? If thousands of people showed up, and there was live music, chanting crowds -- maybe even a little tear gas -- so what? The media would say, "Wow, there is a lot of emotion here. We need to find out why..."

What the frag ever! You just dont get it do you. We are about awareness. Myself when I talk about being militant I mean militantly vocal. EXPOSING the criminal. NOT causing harm. TEARGAS? Whatever mike. You are seriously losing your credibility with each post. I suggest you not respond for a couple days. Think about the things we are saying. Then come back and calmly post. After youve taken a few million mgs of Xanax.

Oh for goodness sake!

Mike you werent at the vigil back in may were you? Part of this sixty second thing is because of the PRESS. Bill isnot trying to limit our expression you numbskull. He is however stating that we have a limited time in front of the press. This march is about highlighting to the press and the public and perhaps some JWs the goings on in Jehovahs witneses. If each of us gets up there and speaks like we are in friggin therapy the press is going to leave. I got up and spoke at the vigil. And I spoke at the press conference. I was not happy with myself afterwards. I said some of what had to be said. But it had to be said at another time. I rambled. The press was not interested believe me.

Now when I spoke to the elders, I rambled and I dont care. That was the time to do it. I knew they were not going to hear me or change their opinion anyhow. They are still indicted by my words...This is NOT THERAPY go to a freaking doctor for that. And when bill says the march is not about anger he is not talking abut US not being angry about ABUSE. He means simply what he said, we will march ORDERLY. We will remain UNITED. We WONT be barking a bunch of things that do not have to do with child abuse. We WONT be holding banners about the UN fiasco, birthdays, false doctrine, missed prophecies, or any other agenda that some folks want to turn this into. It is about CHILD ABUSE ONLY! We will not be screaming, ranting, raving, shouting obscenities or any other behaviour. Bill knows my personality he has SEEN it as have some of you. And if you cannot handle me on the board you should see me in person. I would bring you to tears. Bill isnt trying to CONTROL me. NOR you. NOR anyone else. Get over it for christ sake. The purpose of the march is to highlight to the public and the press the inaction and harmful procedures of Jehovahs Witnesses in regards to CHILD RAPISTS! THAT is all.

If you have other issues see a damned support group. Make your own march. And silent lambs IS about support of all. he doesnt just support people STILL Jw...he doesnt just support people who have LEFT..he doesnt just support people who have REMAINED christians, he doesnt just support people who are ATHEISTS or PAGANS or Buddhists or hindus, or Jews or Muslims. EVERYONE has equal standing. He supports the protection of children.

The worst thing to tell a victim is how to feel? He did not do that. To tell a person how to act? DAMN STRAIGHT...You come to my house you act or you leave. If it is so freakin important for you to highlight the UN crap then do so on your own time. Whatever other issues you have with the watchtower, do it on your own time. Or join with others. It isnt like there arent hundreds of apsotafests and dawn bible student and other conventions around the USA that you can find support for those things.

THIS IS OUR TIME...THEIR TIME..The abuse SURVIVORS and VICTIMS. PERIOD. What issue at the moment for THIS march is so freakin important to override that, that makes you have to leave ????

It is not clothing issues. Bill has said we can wear anything we want. Read above please to see what it is about. Mike and others do not want bill telling us we cant talk about other issues we have with the watchtower society.

For those that wish to know here is what Bill wrote:

This march is not about anger, it is not about other issues you may be upset about, it is about protecting children and supporting abuse survivors. I prefer that all banners and posters support this theme. We are united for one cause. Some have stated they wish to express other agendas at the march, I feel this is not appropriate. What if you were an active witness whose child had been molested, would it be fair to them to express views that may be offensive? To reach out to all and keep the focus we have to be neutral on doctrinal issues. Silentlambs is about support of ALL, not any certain side of doctrinal issues.

So in regards to issues, this march is about one issue, protecting children and supporting abuse survivors. Silent Lambs is non-political, non-doctrinal. What we believe is up to us. What we do is up to us. This march has one purpose.

In regards to dress he said this:

Dress however you wish, wear comfortable walking shoes, casual clothing will be fine. Be sure to bring rain protection just in case, cheap ponchos are about $1 at Walmart. Be aware it could be cooler in New York this time of the year. We will ave t-shirts available when you get there.

So as you can see the post of mike is not about dress codes.

I understand a lot of you have issues with the watchtower. I have some of those same issues. I dont pretend to relate to all of your feelings though I empathize. Those who have read my story know what occured and the abuse myself and my sisters went through. I cannot help that I have not gone through as much pain as either my sisters, or many of you have gone through. I have not experiences disfellowshipping (though I am bucking for it if I can) or other similar things at the hands of the Witnesses. Frankly, despite their failings and except for their criminal activity, I had a splendid time as a witness. Nevertheless I support those who didnt. In this case it isnt about that though. One goal. Stop child abusers. It should not be difficult for one march to lay asside everything else and speak to the GB and the cameras about that one issue. As I said above we can organize our own march and methods apart from silent lambs at another time.

And I understand the need and desire to DO SOMETHING....Ive been saying that for months. Why only complain why not stand up. Bill has given an example that can be followed for other issues, when it is their time. And we can make it their time. Time to speak out for disfellowshipped people. People who cant speak to their children, parents, brothers and sisters. Time to stand up in a kingdom hall when someone is dfed for something they didnt do and inform the congregation of this. Or even if they did do somethin and inform them how petty their 'violation' was. Time to go door to door or time to print fliers. Time to march and time to speak in community centers, or cult awareness meetings. Time to sit and comfort each other. But this one march it should not kill us to be in support not of Bill Bowen, but of child abuse victims and survivors. We are only acting in the capacity of Child Abuse Advocates and that is all.....

The only thing Bill really asked is that we not make this a bash the watchtower session. Yes there are other issues that people have. So then have a march about those issues. We can organize it together next spring. In this case silent lambs has one purpose, the protection and defense of children. Ive met bill personally. He is far from an elder. Trust me on this. His thinking is about protecting children not the watchtower bible tract society, himself, you, or me. Hell he associated with me people! That ought to tell you something. If he cared about his own reputation he would have said bugger off hyghlandyr. But I was there to support children, and that is what he is there for. And that has been his destiny. It is why god brought him into the organization and kept him there so long. So that those of us outhere could have a voice.

Since he has basically asked that we keep this a silent lambs issue (not his organization but the children it represents) why should we balk? Stop worrying about ourselves and lets do this thing for whom it was meant to be done THE KIDS WHO NEED A VOICE AND A PROTECTOR...

Bring the watchtower down on your own time please.

...... do not use details when describing any abuse that happened to you while posting under this section.

if you need to use details, please, i ask you to put 'details' along with the subject under its appropriate section.

for those who have been abused, details can trigger them and cause mental and physical storms that can last for days and cause self destructive tendancies to surface or even impair the ability to function.

Mimily, much of what you talked about I havent heard of. I can deduce what you mean though. I got your email and came here. I dont know what to say, I suck at solutions. But if you need someone to listen I can try to be that. Tomorrow I help my sister move her things from her place to my wifes. We are getting ready to move to cleveland in a couple of weeks. But I should only be gone a couple of hours, so I am available most of the day.

This is just a short note to let you know I did read what you said and I am thinking of you. Hyghyghugs to you. I will email also.

Typical question from new JWs in the Yahoo JW chat room (really it is an Ex JW chat room but oh well)...

"If you aren't Jehovah's Witnesses WHY ARE YOU HERE? WHY DONT YOU LEAVE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!? WHY do you name it JEHOVAHS WITNESSES THEN!?!?!?!?!?!"

We have found that honest open discussion with most of them is fruitless. I am not a christian. I do not believe in Jehovah. But those exes that do believe in many of the same teachings as jehovah's Witnesses still make no headway. No matter what we say, how we look, how we live, they have already made their decision. There are a few that listen when we tell them our personal stories and do not call us liars. The same thing will occur when we march. Violence? No of course not. But militant speech and dress? Absolutely. I am not going to cut my hair. Well I might, maybe, PERHAPS consider shaving half of it again. Leaving the other half long. The rest of the world is not JWs and do not judge everything on appearance (as demonstrated by the fact that I live in conservative Cincinnati and when I wore my hair in that style I got not even one second glance. People just don't care about stuff like that anymore).

So how do we answer when they ask the above questions in OUR (ex jw/jw/non jws) chat room?

"We are apostates and we named this room such so that we could trick you into coming in here so that we could draw you away from your faith in the god jehovah, to such deeds as prostitution, drug abuse, alcohol addiction, theft, and other sundry wicked deeds. Then when armageddon comes you will be bird seed bucko! (Or lolita if it is a broad).

My personal answer is "Because JW broads are like total hotties man. Groups like JWs, Moonies, Mormons, The People's Temple, and Branch Davidians seem to attract a disproportionately high number of hot broads. That of course means that the broads that leave are hotties too. Thus JWs broads are hot and Ex JW broads are hot. And to top it off JW chicks are like totally EASY man! You'd be surprised yo!

Then when they complain I state, "TRUE JWs chat on Paltalk, http://www.paltalk.com/ "

Oh and then I accuse them of being apostate themselves. Usually for something frivolous like the spelling of their online name.

What will I do if I go to the the march in Sept? Not sure. Personally I think I am going to keep a low profile because I've some plans of my own in relation to people that I know personally that have been convicted of child molestation in one form or another and I don't want to tip them off....yet. But if I do speak, I won't be gentle and I won't mince words, and I dont give a flippin polycarp crudle noodle who likes it or not.
