My experience with the Bethel Legal Dept. regarding a Ministerial Servant molesting a boy
by BonaFide inthe experience that follows contains some details that some might find graphic.
so be warned.. the body of elders received word that an unmarried ministerial servant, age 20, had been seen fondling a younger male bible student, age 14. the ministerial servant himself had been studying with the boy.
the ministerial servant was a quiet, timid brother.

The question here the Society asks here is so ignorant, it's funny.
He asked about his behavior, were there any signs of homosexuality or an interest in younger boys?
Could someone tell me what the "signs of homosexuality" are exactly? "Yes brother, lately he has had a lisp, and at the last meeting he wore a pink dress shirt"
"Interest in younger boys?"
ridiculous.
I'm suprised they didn't ask if the younger boy had shown an interest in older boys as of late.

Thanks for commenting peeples.
I'm suprised the society has not emphasized the "importance" of being married, in "jehovahs name". After all, his name is "divine" and there is "divine judgement" involved. If a person defiles the marriage bed, they are not accountable in a judicial commitee towards ceasar as much as they are Jehovah, even though it is the god of some other priest that married them, by the standards of jw's. Baptism could be viewed the same way - but it's not. Goes to show how the organization wants the control perhaps? Married is married. Baptism is baptism, yes?
rockmehardplace - a marriage before god, would be official when exactly?
Bluesbrother. - your question is a good one, thanks for adding it. I understand where your coming from with the principles concept.
whitedove/rachel - with the dubs trying to be so technical with things, perhaps this could be a way of bringing their picking and choosing to light?
mindmelda - are you shitting me? SUNG her vows? That's funny, how old was she, and did her hubby to be flinch? First marriage and he was willing to endure for the sake of getting some action for the first time?lol
Debbie Hairy - Is their anything more current? Or is that still "new light"?

To a dub, there is no god other than Jehovah. The name "God" even falls short. To pray to "God", isn't enough as there are many false gods out there. Why does it count if your married, by law, by someone who doesn't recognize the name? A couple elopes, gets married by a "worldly" individual, or priest and swears it before god...but it's a different god by Witness reasoning. Yet that marriage, within the organization, it was to Jehovah...even though it wasn't. Or was it? Is "Ceasar" trumping the wtbs here?

Topics for discussion with JWs - part 2: Frozen mamooth - proof of the Flood?
by Albert Einstein inin the ble book "life - how did it get here?
by evolution or by creation?
" on page 203 you can see a picture of a mamooth with a note: frozen mamooth found in siberia ... still had grass in his mouth and in his stomach .... was frozen immediately ....".

Thanks bohm.
The thing is here, if you were to tell that to a JW, they would say that quite possibly the WT did make a mistake. However, I'm sure they would jump on the fact that it drowned and quite possibly from the flood! Followed by ice being formed after the weather changed...It would fit the agenda.
It never dawned on me till now, but why in the hell would god make animals with thick fur to begin with? Really good points made doofdaddy and observations Leo.

Thank You Black Sheep.
"There's many predictions that people in the world make, and some come true, others not. So we never can rely on what people in the world say. But we can rely on Jehovah's word " and then emphasizes that Jehovah cannot lie." @ 1:40
They have not made any predictions that have come true. Plenty that have failed though. Do you think he skirts around this by saying "we can rely on Jehovahs word" and not bringing the "organization" in to that sentence? The average JW already equates them as being one and the same.
Do you think he is conscious of this when preparing the talk, intentionally "covering his ass?"

ACDC - "Hells Bells" - that little ""Im gonna get ya ,Satan getcha!" - That one along with the other songs they hhad with "Satan" in em.
Top 40 has changed. I beleive there is more "crap music" in todays top 40 than 20 years ago. Technology has changed the way people listen to music, and they now have more of a choice than ever before to choose WHAT they want to listen to.
I think younger kids today are more in tune with music from 20 years ago because so much of todays music is just plain annoying. There are not near as many "artists" as their used to be. At least we get a choice now. The RIAA and the Borg are kind of in the same boat eh?
