  Costs to householder of pubs placed door to door in 80's?

  hey everybody!.

  i'm working on a project and trying to remember what the publications cost, to place / leave with a householder, back in the 80's, right before the switch to voluntary donations.

  does anyone remember, or have a reference they can provide?.

  i saw a fight break out on the platform between an elder and a unbelieving husband who accused the elder of f---ing his wife.

  he then threw the lectern on the floor and pushed the elder.

  would any of us defend the right of a medicine manufacturer to advertise curative powers without side effects when evidence to the contrary was indicated?.

  would any of us defend the right of a pharmacist to make up his own prescriptions and pass it off as what our physician specifically gave to us?.

  would any of us approve equal time for tv advertisers to promote products as effective which had repeatedly proved to be dangerous?.

  WW I, the Gentile Times, and the Last days...the not so exact science of chronology

  essentially, the jw position regarding the end of the gentile times and the significance of 1914 revolve around a principal element, namely, that the "great war" (ww1) was an indication of the anger of the dragon, i.e satan, after being cast out of heaven per revelation 12:7-9 and the start of the sign of the last days.

  this has always been a sticky point for the organization....why?.

  because, based on their chronology, the gentile times ended in october 3/4 of 1914 with the last days commencing from that point on.
