by headmath ini got news of this from the jw grape vine today that at the meeting on thursday(yesterday) there was a letter read to all the congregations from the society.

Witnesses cannot refute the real "TRUTH"
by integ inno matter what any pompass ass witness says about the religion being the "truth", they cannot refute the simple fact that nothing they have ever predicted has come true.
that's a pretty poor record for gods' chosen people.
oh sure they can point to lame obvious things such as " critical times getting harder to deal with" (even that is debatable), but no hard facts to point to that show they are right, or have ever been.

In 1942, Nathan Knorr gave the speach 'Peace, can it last?'. Using Revelation chapter 17, he predicted that the League of Nations would rise again. He specifically said that this new organization would rise after WWII. This came true.

Who's soliciting who?
by orbison inyet another letter to the editor in our local paper in a town with pop of 100,000 just outside of vancouver bc.
i would like to point out something that really is not pleasant about our town.. why is it that we spend time chasing pawn shops and hookers out of the downtown area, yet we let the jehova wittnesses harrass us every time we walk down the street?.
i have been in this townh for eight years now and never had a pawn shop worker or a hooker approach me when i walk downtown in the morning.

I thought I was an idiot. The person that prefers hookers to Jehovah's witnesses must be the biggest idiot in the world.
I understand many of you have complaints again Jehovah's Witnesses, but I would prefer that my children look at a well-dressed minister rather than a sleazy prostitute.
That's my thought.

I have to say that I am confused. There are many interprations in the different posts, but I would like to reach a conclusion on what is the great crowd mentioned in REv. 19:1.
Justamom mentions that there is an interpretation that the great crowd in this scripture are the "myriads of angels". After reading this scripture I reread chapter 18 and 19 of revelations and it kind of makes sence. If it's true then appropiately these creatures are in heaven in front of the throne.
Did I get it right?

Thank you, I already know I am. I do not understand your post about Psalm 37, was God telling the jews they would live forever? I thought that it applies to us. AT least, I think it is a beautiful hope.

Celia: I really did not understand your post. I sure hope that death does not mean death. I think that resurrection is a beautiful provision that Jesus paid for with his blood. Whatever faith you have, a hope helps one to cope with lifes problems. For me, faith keeps me going. But, you raised a good question that I have asked myself. Should we be part of a movement or religion to get proper guidance? I think after Jesus died and I would of enjoyed being part of the congregation receiving guidance from the apostles. But, in this modern era, do we need a religion?
I really don't know. I_am_an_idiot.

Boy, that was a long complicated explanation. At least, it was to me, see I_am_an_idiot. I have read John 10 trying to find an explanation of the "other sheep", but no where in the context do I find that Jesus is explaining the difference between Jews and gentiles. I see that he starts out talking about his sheep and then all of sudden mentions the "other sheep". In my simple mind, I understand these "other sheep" to be different for the earlier sheep mentioned in the chapter. Could there be a different? I have read that these "other sheep" will inherit the earth. I thing that sounds good. At least, it's simple enough for me and I would like to live on earth.
Well, that's my version, but I_am_an_idiot.

Thank you Fred for your confidence in me. I have read Psalms 37 and it makes sence to me. Of course, I do not have much education in secular things, but it sounds good to live on earth forever. My heart tells me that it is a good thing. At least, it is simple enough for me.
Thanks again.

Hello everyone, I am new in the forum. Let me introduce myself: I_am_an_idiot. Why use that handle? Because I am really an idiot. At least that's how I feel when reading many of the posts. I have to admit I am simple minded and some things I just don't get. I am not part of the Jehovah Witness religion, but to tell you the truth, I am interested in their teachings. I was attracted because of their simple way of explain complex. But now I am confused in this site, many of the things explained are way over my head.
I read Psalms 37 and it gives the hope of living forever on earth. Sounds simple enough for me. I've read posts here that say that it is not true, that we will all go to heaven.
Can someone reason on these thoughts?
Please keep it simple, I_am_an_idiot.
