  What do you do for canker sores?

  because mine is hurting like a mofo here... it's at the back of my cheek, where my lower and upper jaw connect,and i can't close my teeth without chomping on it because its swollen out.

  my lymph glands under my neck hurt to the touch, the entire side of my head down to my shoulders hurt.. i've tried peroxide mouthwash, salt mouthwash, orajel (which help for about 30 seconds), and aspirin placed on it (which helps for about ten minutes).

  today, at work, i put a bunch of salt directly on it which just stung like the dickens for about 10 minutes and now i'm back to square one with the ongoing pain.

  The Watchtower has Created Another New Word.

  in the new tract today, a peaceful new world, will it come?, on the last page, there is a bit of a disclaimer.

  the paragraph says that "jehovahs witnesses, the publishers of this tract though no part of christendom or judaism, accept these holy scriptures as the only basis for accurate knowledge of gods will.

  so - jw's belong to the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses = christian group = christendom.

  In JW speak you have:

  Kingdom Hall instead of Church.

  Podium instead of pulpit.

  Talk instead of sermon.

  Information board (at least in my time) instead of bulletin board due to the fact that the bull in bulletin was derived from the phrase Papal Bull.

  Basically the JWs want to distance themselves in every way possible from the Non Jevohah's Witness world including any language used by "Christendom".

  How will anyone know when the "Great Tribulation" begins?

  will there be an announcment on the world news saying " a great tribulation has begun in the world" or will the gb send a letter to all the kh's to scare the piss out of everybody saying "we the gb being gods chosen channel of communication have decided that the world's situation seems dire and are pleased to tell you that the great tribulation has started!".

  obviously the world has been in a great tribulation since the time of jesus.

  great tribulation does not mean some event that has to happen all at once all of a sudden.

  First the UN (minus its NGO the WBTS) gives out a cry of peace and security. Then it starts to persecute Babylon the Great hooker (Again minus the witnesses) then finally they turn their attention to the Witnesses. Then Jehovah starts raining molten blobs on everyone who is not JW as well as gigantic hailstones. The earth cracks open letting in little girls and their puppy dogs into Hades. Then, oh never mind, we're dead by then.

  if someone came to your door with a religious message and you were attracted to it, would you immediately google the religion and find out its pros and cons?.

  Unfortunately many naive or weak minded lonely people may not check the internet. Some elderly people may not even have a computer. In spite of that I do think the balance turns out in our favor.

  just want to know why some of you,not all,please dont think im meaning all of you because that truly isnt the case,claim to be happy for leaving the truth,being df etc yet you continue to speak about jehovah or attack him or the organisation??

  even for many years after.. this would show that your hurt by them df you.

  when someone we love hurts us its natural to want to hurt them back because we have feelings for them.so im thinking that many have love for jehovah still??

  Unusual "Experience" at the DC yesterday - Apostasy & Honor Killing

  during the concluding part on sunday's dc at the stanley theater, a missionary was interviewed and asked to give an encouraging experience from his assignment in an african country.. he started off by saying his "experience was bitter-sweet".

  it was about a woman in her mid-20's that became a witness.

  but she was a muslim and her mother had her hunted down and murdered as an honor-killing.

  when one says i am worshiping jehovah and respecting the organization it is one in the same, and it has always made me sick to see the god of the holy bible dragged to a debased human level, way too much honor is readily given to the quote organization instead of to the great and wondrous god jehovah and his son.

  i would not want to be in the shoes of the governing body of the jehovahs witnesses when that time of trouble comes upon this earth in the form of the great tribulation, for they have misguided many sheep like people to worship an institution a publishing company a cult of personalitys rather than our maker..

  To me that says that the Organization is their god and the books they print are their idols. Jehovah, to them, is nothing but a puppet they wear on their hands.

  Angel eyes: I was there during the 1975 fiasco and I can tell you that I witnessed Frederick Franz, vice president of the governing body, give a talk in 1974 about the end being within months or years. Nothing has been taken out of context about 1914 either it's in their literature although I realize, especially if you're young or have been in the JWs for less than 25 or more years, that you may have limited access to that literature.

  Like many JWs, which I presume you are, you are indulging in the switch and bait of "Jehovah" and his alleged "Organization". That way the Organization can act like a god while pretending to be his "faithful slave".

  If You Could Go Back In Time ...

  assuming you could go back in time, and knowing what you know now, is there anything the 2009 you could say to that person you were while you were one of jehovah's witnesses, that would have gotten you out earlier, or easier?.

  in other words, have you learned anything now, or while you were exiting, that would have made a difference to you while you were a witness?

  and would it make any difference?

  I would take all their old literature, especially The Finished Mystery, with me through the time machine and present it to the younger me. I always wanted their old literature in order to see how the "light got brighter and brighter". Of course, once I had read The Finished Mystery with its psychotic and blasphemous worship of Charles Russell I would have been out.
