District Convention Symposium Reject What is False!

i have obtained audio of a good portion of this year's convention program i just posted my analysis of this part on my blog.

while the talk on apostates generated a lot of buzz on the net, the rest of the program contains some real lunacy.

i expect to concentrate my efforts there.

I can't think of anything that would make me return to a lie and hypocrisy, unless I was to become a lying hypocrite.

There is no "what if" its true. Because the whole premise of the organization, its belief system and world-view is twisted, incorrect and formulated by men who believe everyone else is wrong, but they are right.

The only reason to contemplate such a question is out of fear. The basis of that fear is the interpretation of a high level control group who have a documented history of flip-flops in their teachings and numerous false prophesies of 'the end'.

-Blaming women for rape and worthy of everlasting destruction with no eternal life if they did not scream while being raped.

-Over a decade of telling their followers that Organ Transplants are Cannibalistic.

-Became a 'friend of the court' with Jimmy Swaggart to try and stop publications from being taxed, to then cease charging for the publications, and lying about their reasons for doing so after losing their case.

-Being a NGO of the United Nations for years, while preaching that any association with such a political entity makes that religious organization a part of Babylon the Great.

-Pinatas origins (Associated with demonic spirits and the releasing of deadly sins) do not matter and are just harmless fun, while other things are forbidden in part or entirely due to their origin.

-In Mexico - it was okay to bribe/obtain $5.00 political card to avoid problems; in Africa you could not accept or obtain a $0.25 political card, resulting in the death, torture, and rape of many.

-Lying about and covering up the support and references of works by Johannes Greber - A believer and follower of Spiritism.

-At least two entirely different teachings and history of their Faithful and Discreet Slave (Class).

-Several "Yes" and "No" beliefs/teachings on the resurrection of the Men of Sodom

-Back and forth on their teaching and belief of the Superior Authorities, returning back to teachings from decades ago.

-Numerous interpretation of "This Generation" ultimately returning to older beliefs.

-Jesus Christ is mediator for only the 144,000

-Belief that dead anointed members have involvement in communicating "the truth".

-Stance and understanding that religion should not divide family, unless it is for their religion.

-The organization is your spiritual mother.

-Bashing and discrediting other religions while crying persecution when they are bashed or discredited.

-The belief that what the organization teachings "has become part of the bible and adhering to it are essential for salvation".

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

What in the universe could possibly make anyone return to that mess of a lie and a cesspool of ignorance and self-righteousness?

Quick update on sharing TTATT with my friend

yesterday morning i got a message from my friend, the one i shared ttatt with last week and she wanted to meet for coffee.

this is the story/friend i'm referring to http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/251494/1/ha-take-that-watchtower-one-less-borg-for-you.. i was really nervous because since our initial visit she had told me that two of her other jw friends wanted to talk to me.

after a little more prodding she admitted that her friends didn't accept what their own wt said about god's name and they wanted to talk to me to "bring me back to the truth.".

Regarding the name "Jehovah", you can also reference the Watchtower Society's brochure "The Divine Name That Will Endure Forever."

One point worth noting is on page 7 under ‘God’s Name – It’s Meaning and Pronunciation’, it makes the following statements:

“How Is God’s Name Pronounced? The truth is, nobody knows for sure how the name of God was originally pronounced. Why not? Well, the first language used in writing the Bible was Hebrew, and when the Hebrew language was written down, the writers wrote only consonants—not vowels. Hence, when the inspired writers wrote God’s name, they naturally did the same thing and wrote only the consonants. "

in a couple of hours i'm going to the doctor - an intervention.

i don't want to be a burdon to my mother, she has her own life to lead with her own responsibilities.

i've always been able to take care of everything for myself.

To echo Simon's sentiments, once using a similar logic and reasoning along with research to discover the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses/Watchtower Society to be a fraud, it would be a matter of intellectual dishonesty and a lie to myself to not applying the same logic and reasoning/research techniques towards Christian religions.

Ironically, to partially quote Daniel 5:27..."You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting."

Jehovah's Witnesses (IMHO) are more dangerous in the emotional, mental, and relationship damage department than Christian religions, but all are found wanting.

WT SHUNNING POLICY: What has it done, or could it do to you?

hi y'all, this is mrs. flipper.

please share your experiences with this, or possible consequences of being outed.. this recent controversy and resulting arguments all stem from people being outed - possibly losing friends and family because most jw's will blindly follow the watchtower's rules to shun them.. among people i know and experiences read here, the grief and loss caused by this is terrible, and maybe now is a good time to put up some experiences here, and put the focus on the worst villians of all - wt policymakers..

This month will mark 5 years since my two sisters, brother, mother, uncles, aunts, several cousins, along with those who knew me for many, many years have shunned me and my wife. My father kind of talks to us, but is extremely limited as he catches all hell and grief, primarily at the hands of my mother when he reaches out.

It's very sad and disgraceful, to do it towards me, yes - towards my wife, absolutely...But I also have a 2 year old son. He doesn't know and may never know many of them. They are good people, just trapped in the guilt and fear mongering tactics of the Watchtower; the Society 'BITE's, indeed.

I'm not patting myself on the back, but I was very sacrificing as well as generous always towards my family. Not financially wealthy by any means, but would give of my resources and always my time whenever I could to help. None of it seems to matter, once you leave the Watchtower organization. They continue to toe the Society's line of coming back to the organization, or else never communicate with them again.

It is times like these when there just is no other possible classification, but cult for this "religion".
