Why exactly would anyone want God to get involved in this?
We've come full circle.

why would a so-called 'loving' god put mankind through millenia of time, untold suffering, death to billions of mankind, all over the sin of a naked lady eating an apple without permission?.
how could his need to 'fulfill justice' or whatever theological argument is presented to justify such time to pass before correction - ever equal the pain it has forced mankind to endure?.
why did he not just kill one man, one woman, and one snake-imitating fallen angel - wipe the slate - and start fresh?
Sylvia, God has his sinless Someone give His life to blot out the error of the first parents. (This is according to the *witnesses* who documented it decades later. For the record, unless I write it down, I can't remember what I ate for dinner or how long I jogged on Monday, but, *those* events are not historical; I can see why they waited decades. They really wanted to get it right, right?) So, if it was supposed to blot out the errors, etc, why didn't it blot out the errors of all future generations?
Why let future generations be imperfect and why let all the pain and suffering go on and on?
Why no other *signs* from God or His Someone?

"And the acidophilus to cure them"
I wonder if the gals in the Old System had this stuff. Somehow I'm guessing it's a relatively new discovery.
Then again, I could be wrong:
The fungal infection of Candida albicans, more commonly referred to as a yeast infection when it affects the genital area, is thought by some to be controlled by acidophilus . Since acidophilus occurs naturally in the genitals, and plays a role in warding off such infections, some people advocate topical treatment. The topical application of yogurt, which contains acidophilus , is thought by many to help relieve and ultimately cure a yeast infection. Oral ingestion is also recommended, either of yogurt, or of an acidophilus supplement.
Personally, I don't advocate Yogurt Douche's. Just IMO. Though, in the old days, a woman may not have had any choice. Learn something new.
This I attribute to a smart Greek Lady. Not God. Oh, and her husband. And their Goat.

All those angels were watching. Plus the demons. He'd have had to wipe all of them out too. (Witnesses and all) Then he'd really have a bad, sad conscience. So, just let Adam, Eve and Satan do their thing and let the world do it's thing. Oh, and let your only begotten Son come down, get nailed to a cross, etc.
God's real logical.

God also gave us Yeast Infections.

Look what he did for Noah. Made him build that Ark and all. For all those animals. Which no one has ever found. (Which is besides the point because someone wrote about it in the bible, so it must be true, right?)
And, how about that guy who toasted his daughter to prove his loyalty? Jepht-Something-or-Other? What about him?
And Lot? What about Lot.
Jonah? Who else gets to ride in the belly of a beast and tell about it?
I could go on. Again.
Disease? Pestilence? Clean water? Slavery? Peace on earth (where have I heard that lately?) Pain and suffering?
We deserve all of this because of Adam and that damn apple.
Right?

now elmer gantry will have someone to play poker with..
Watching video of people who are seemingly ill or unable to walk, etc. and suddenly the preacher walks up to them, hits them on the forehead says "Praise Je-Sus!" and WHAM!! they fall to the ground, have a seizure and suddenly are healed. Everyone in the mega-church prays and claps and sings.
Huh, yeah. I believe that. Sure. Just like I believe in the New System. Oh, and did I mention the Resurrection? Yeah, I think I did somewhere on here.
Didn't Rutherford say "Religion is a snare and a racket"?

why do so many people want to see dead relatives?
What happens when we die?
I don't think so. Depends who you ask.
Since I was raised as a JW, I walked away believing that we have no soul and I am just a bag of cells.
What will happen when I die? I don't know. I am not going to waste time worrying about trying to make something/someone/somediety happy. Especially based upon what we have as proof. So, I'll go on my faith.

cantleave, that is it. Why spend so much time on what is not guaranteed?
I tried having a conversation with an Aunt about something totally different this weekend and it ended up turning to "this system of things......yada, yada, yada". I was so annoyed. She totally turned the conversation to the JWs and what is happening on earth and when it will end. Our conversation had been going really nice. It was like a kick in the stomach. I wonder if they talk to everyone that way or just faders like me? UGH. And my Mom brought up some dead people she can't wait to see. Double ugh.

Thanks Lady Lee. I honestly seem to recall pictures of old people coming alive and being welcomed by people looking thrilled. I just can't quite recall when; it has been years. It is a child-like view. The sleeping belief is why I don't believe in a soul, which drives my husband batty. He simply can't believe we were taught that. Being Catholic and all.
Magwitch, I am really sorry about your brother. Appreciating what we have while alive is and thinking about our loved ones is what I think about. I think that is a residual value from the dubs. Same thing with forever. I want to stay healthy while I can, however, I realize that there is only so much I can do.
