I started reading that blog but it sounded just like a Watchtower article. Gag.
In the opening paragraph:
Apostates, on the other hand, are an obsessed lot. They are not satisfied with turning people away at every mention of Jehovah's Witnesses, but they spend every moment of their free time obsessing over turning people, particularly individual Witnesses themselves, away from the organization. The time they should be spending on preaching the word of God, they instead spend it turning people away from the only true God. Why the obsession? Are they concerned with the welfare of others? Are they demonstrating a humanitarian outreach? Are they trying to prevent some major catastrophe? Are they trying to be helpful with the religious choices of others? Or is it simply malicious intent? The answer may surprise you.
Personally, I don't spend every moment of my free time obsessing over turning people away from the organization. I have too many other darn things to do-like having a life now that I don't have to go out in FS or to meetins 4 times a week. Yeah for free time. Oh, and wearing pants everywhere. (giggle)
As for preaching the word of God, I've come to realize, not too many people want to hear about it. In fact, none do. Which is why door-to-door work is so unproductive.
How would I prevent a major catastrophe? Me? Seriously? The Federal Government can't stop a Hurrican, how can I? Tornado? Nah, my G-force isn't up there either.
I'm thinking this guy is a writer at Headquarters.
