i think some want to be witnesses even if they know some of the teachings and views are questionable because they feel special!.

if they get a "privilege" or are allowed to pioneer or allowed to preach from house to house and be "ministers", they feel like they are somebody.. what do you think?

i have a 6 year old and a 3 year old, and my oldest really put pressure on me to go out this year.

boy am i glad she did.

Alternative to free directory assistance (Google 411) November 11

to those of you who've never used google's free telephone directory assistance (1-800-goog-411) you may as well forget it.

that service ends november 11 but another one had already been waiting in the wings.

for me, google's free directory assistance (1-800-goog-411) had been a great ride especially when on a road trip.

there seems to be a lot of speculative jw confusion on this.

several jw "rules of thumb" seem to apply -.

1) - if you die "during a judgement period" - i.e., you died post 1914 after hearing the jw message, and did not accept it - you do not get a resurrection.... << but, i believe they qualified this to say that 20th century people (like in red china) that did not hear the jw message might come back >>.

Standard response any time I have debated this with any JW especially when in regards to family who knew the JW message, rejected it and yet, certain family insist they will be resurrected. I ask, how, how could Aunt Sally, who said the JWs were nut jobs be resurrected?

"Well, she was a super-sweet, wonderful soul. She just didn't understand the JWs"

Me--"She hated them and derided them/us. She said we were crazy to believe it."

"Well, we'll see her after Armageddon. Only Jehovah knows what was in her heart."

WTF?!

most governors who suddenly resign are usually dead meat but she seems to be able to follow her own instincts and appears to be doing alright.. what do you think about sarah palin?

New NBC show "Outsourced". A slap in the face?

i think it's bad timing, not going to be deemed "hilarious" by the many unemployed who lost their jobs due to outsourcing and is not going to last long given our current economic climate.. http://www.nbc.com/outsourced/.

the nbc forum for the show where folks are not so happy.. "outsourced" is a comedy where the midwest meets the exotic east in a hilarious culture clash.

the series centers on the all-american company mid america novelties that sells whoopee cushions, foam fingers and wallets made of bacon -- and whose call center has suddenly been outsourced to india.

Hmmmm, I wonder if NBC will put on a show called "Illegals" which shows how people from across the borders (N & S) are sneaking into the USA and stealing Americans IDs? We can all giggle at the pains it causes the real owner of the ID.

How funny would that be?

Yeah, this show sounds like a real hit. Especially during a recession when these types of jobs are being sent to India so an Indian with an MBA can tell me why my laptop isn't working. Or not.
