Once I realized I had to get out, I decided it would be beter to be DFed rather than DA because of the lesser stigma. So for a time I tried to smoke. I even intentionally went to meeting smelling of cigarette smoke, and it did not work. I also discovered I could not stand cigarette smoking. So I turned to fornication and found that suited me quite well.

Why do you think Jesus never wrote anything down?
by journey-on inif his message was to be followed like a rule book, wouldn't he have written down some things with his own hand?.

Look at the details surrounding Jesus birth. Prophecy says Jesus would be born of the house of David, must be from Betleham, Jesus was from Nazareth. Additionally, Jesus' linage to David was through Joseph, who, according to legend, was not his fater. To get Jesus to Bethleham, a story was invented. A census by Cesar Agustus requiring parents to return to thier hometown to register a birth. There is no record of such a census. It doesn't make sense. Perinius was not governor of Syria in that year. Why should we believe that this Jesus character ever existed? His existence is based soley on the bible. And even the gospels don't agree in the details. It just doesn't add up.
What was Jesus claim to fame? His mother had not slept with a man, so he was of divine origin. Right. At best Jesus was a delusional, egomaniacal bastard. And uneducated too, explaining why he didn't write anything.

Stayed up more than 24 hours many times when I was in college, working full time, a ministerial servant, and working for the regional building committee.
The longest I have been awake is a little over 3 days, in a storm, on a mountain. We thought we would die if we went to sleep, so we kept each other awake.

Should I renew my Norton subscription?
by frozen one inmy norton security sub exprires in a couple of weeks.
i've heard a lot of negatives about norton mostly about the resources norton gobbles up which slows down everything else.
my computer does seem to be be a bit pokey at times.

I am not a tech person, but I consulted the IT staff at work when my McAffee was about to expire. They told me Norton and McAffee are bulky programs that slow down your computer, and reccomended AVG free. I have been using AVG for over a year now with no problems and my computer is much faster on startup.

Daughter has to go to a KH meeting to see what is going on....
by cawshun inmy daughter told my husband that she and her husband have to go to a meeting tomorrow night to find out what is going on.
it sounds like the kh in my town and the kh in the next town may merge.
i have heard others on here talk about how low attendance is causing neighboring halls to meet in one hall.

I know of a couple halls in Iowa that have combined or are goning to combine. It is a real hardship on the people there too because the towns are so far away.
