  Do you believe the Bible?

  i don't want to high jack african gb's thread but something got me thinking.... moses, abraham were inbred and hearing god's voice... paul never met jesus yet he is the only apostle coming down like a hammer of gays and has this "close bond" with timothy.

  then there is the issue of "horus" the egyptian god and is this where the story of jesus comes from.

  i have searched the internet for information on horus and have not had much luck finding anything authorative either way.. my question is do you or don't you believe in the bible and why or why not?

  I don't believe in the Bible either. I struggled with the idea of God for many years after leaving the WT. It was a full two years after I left the bOrg before I ever considered that the only reason I didn't look into evolution or the idea that God might not exist was because I had been programmed to think these ideas were not worthy of entertaining.

  It took another two years of a lot of research and personal thought to feel comfortable calling myself an atheist. I didn't choose to be an atheist I simply found myself there after a lot of research into the bible and various other religions.

  i heard a song that i thought was pretty.

  however, for the first time im analizing their music;do they belive in satanism?they always talk about the enemy god not in words, hiding words to be exact..or im just imagining things.

  anyways, i've deleted their music.

  Just to play it safe I am going to label all music as satanic and just never listen to music again. I'll stop reading books too because I might read one that changes my current opinions, and you never know if the author prays to lucifer. TV is exceptionally demonic these days as well, you know things going from bad to worse and all that. So I'll just stop watching TV. Now I feel safe and secure, Satan isn't going to get me!

  Hi everyone, I'm glad so many of you enjoyed the video. Yes Car's world is a much better world :)

  I do post here sometimes, I would post a lot more if I had the time. There are never enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to get done.

  How many people, many of them here, spent a decade or more after leaving still believing it was "the truth." I don't do my youtube video's because I get off on hearing my own voice. I don't know this guys whole story, maybe he is a douch, or maybe he is still suffering from his experience and has never been able to move on. Never been able to accept that it's all a lie.

  Perhaps he/she isn't worth the trouble, but on the off chance that he/she is I would like to give it a shot.

  Just started looking for answers

  i was raised as a jw and have several family members who are witnesses, including my mother.

  while i love and respect her very much i was very resentful of being raised in "the truth".

  there are several reasons but the main one is the way i was "counseled" and ultimately publically pointed out as a bad associate.

  six months ago i had never heard about jehovah's witnesses.

  i was at the chinese buffet by my self.

  he came to me and asked why i was alone and how can a girl like me not have a partner.

  I have learnd in my life that human nature needs to be free and can not be captivated.

  I feel the same about my life, keeping this view for your life is impossible as a JW. You have no doubt met many kind people at the KH who seem to truely care about you. Some do, some are just keeping up appearances, as with any group of people not all JW's are bad and not all are good. However all JW's who are sincere live by strict rules set out by the WatchTower that end up controlling their life. If you continue to study with the Witnesses and you give yourself over to them then your freedom is forfeit. Please do research on the WatchTower, I know the people are nice and it appears a lovley organization from the outside. From 22 years of experience I warn you, their is a dark underbelly. Please be carefull.

  New to Halloween...What do YOU do?

  i've never celebrated halloween (too bad none of you live around here - jacksonville fl), but for whatever reason, i have alot of good memories from the anticipation of the various holidays as a child (i'm originally from a state that actually had seasons), even though we as jw's did'nt participate.

  i still remember being at friends' houses, seeing them apparently happy and found myself wishing that i could have something to look forward too that was fun and not just the memorial (such a solemn occasion).

  i have swore to myself that when (and if) i ever have children that i will celebrate them (the holidays + birthdays) as would want them to have some of the memories that i was denied.. am i making too much of this?.

  This is my 3rd halloween since I've been out. I am 25 and me and a few of my adult friends are going to dress up and go to a party this year. I told them I have never done anything for halloween so they are going to do it with me :D I may even make a jack-o-lantern this year since I have never done one before and they look fun.
