I was told by an elder that they were encouraged NOT to DF because so many do not come back. They have so many single women that really need d_$k, so the do it and shut hup policy is very effective.

New Disfellowshipping Policy?
by Madmen ini heard the policy on disfellowshipping has changed, so that you cannot be disfellowshipped if you're not currently "fellowshipping".
does this apply if you're baptised, but haven't associated for over a decade and then choose to speak out in the media (specifically tv) in a way that the watchtower society would consider to be apostasy e.g.
questioning the society's function and/or the very existence of a creator?.

I know that because so many are disfellowshipped, the "word on the street is" go out and have sex, tell the elders only and it's a freebie. If no one knows, u get privately reproved.
This has been going on for quite a while. If you admit to it more than once though, public reproff is a possibility. I know a hall where about 5 people were disfellowshipped in a 3 month period. Sex, sex and a little f+@#$ig!!

My life has been great, I make well over 6 figures without a college degree. My manager is the same age and makes TWICE what I make. My JW peers of course say that I am the materialistic one because I have always strived for more. I quit pioneering for my job 25 years ago. Through FB, my JW friends see my live daily. The materialistic tag still exist, but I will take it (with the money).
lol
College is essential in the world today. So sad to see the JW are still in the stone age. The mormons have the right idea regarding education.

Were you 'alive in '75' and how was that year for you?
by punkofnice ini was a junior borgite in 1975. i remeber looking at the calendar at work in october and thinking: 'armageddon isn't here yet.....and it doesn't feel like it will be here anytime soon either!'.
i was surprised that jehovah hadn't obeyed the superior command to bring the big 'a' as instructed to him by fred franz.
how dare god disobey the jw leader!!!!!.

I remember a sister that started pioneering in 1972 because of the emphasis on 1975. She is still single and active. I was only 8 years old. I was more eager for the 1976 Bicentinneal (sp) celebration.
I do recall telling others when I was pioneering about the people of 1914 almost being dead (in the late 1980's). This was the proof that I offer as a high school pioneer that the end was sooooooo close. In hindsight, it is sad that some still believe that the end is coming tomorrow. They chose poverty and no education as a result.
On a personal note; Ten years ago, On my Father's death bed, just before he went into a permenant coma for a month, he looked in my eyes and said, "This is the end!!!"
I think that is the end we are guaranteeded to all face.

You ever drive to the meeting, or field service meeting point, and do a U-Turn and go back home?
by miseryloveselders ini did this today.
last night, the pretty little weather girl stated there would "be heavy rain marked by occasional thunderstorms.
" i thought to myself, great, hopefully its so bad when i awaken, anybody originally planning on going out, will just stay home.

Went to Wodland Hills for a Circuit Assembly. They had jammed too many congregations into the place. There was no parking in the lot or the street.. We wouldda have had to walk a mile up a hill to park. We drove the 50 miles back home.

WOW!!! Just found out from someone who went to the one day assembly....
by Lady Liberty inhello friends... just found out that at the recent one day assembly they are now really discouraging people from getting married!!!!!
they will lose young ones like crazy if they start telling them that they cannot get married...what are these sexually frusterated young people to do??
you cannot masterbate, you cannot have sex outside of marriage (not that i would encourage it either, but...), now you cannot even get married?????

I recently started going back and this year will probably be my hardest. It is my first DC in 10 years.
The KH garbage is bad enough. I do not think most J-Dubs believe it, but I know many that do. Many are like me and go for association and family.
I think of being at the meeting and being forced to read the bible and put on boots, because it got sooo deep in there.

Overlapping generations once more - some tie-in I'm not aware of?
by teel inthe other day i casually mentioned to my wife how weird the new generation teaching sounds.
she at first had no idea what i'm talking about.
she read the article, yet she noticed no doctrine change (sidenote: way to go gb!

I think most J-Dubs do not know most of the actual teaching until someone tells them in FS. As a pioneer, I found out the "Bad Stuff" about CT Russel from a householder. I eventually verified it soon after. The women are thinking, I am so spiritual (and single) I comment and go in FS all the time. Elders and men think, "RATS, the CO is gonna kick my arse, I do not have any RVs this month" and children think......"Can't wait till I turn 18!!"
All the teaching is FILTERED. The media tells lies and Apostates, why they are worse than vomit.....Who has time for truth?

2010 Circuit Assembly..........Sunday Program nonsense and madness.
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini went to the sunday circuit assembly and came back all riled up with all the nonsense.. the sunday program was on ''safeguarding your spirituality''.
''it is better to remain single and not marry.
that gives you more time for studying and the preaching work.

Here's what I could never figure out: If all these JW kids are so hell-bent on pioneering and avoiding college as if it were a giant leper colony....why the flurck would you take the ACT (or SAT or any other test exclusively designed for determining ability to do well in college, and good for absolutely nothing else)? I had a 4.0 GPA, was a regular pioneer in the 11th and 12th grade and took the SAT. I wanted to compare myself against everyone in America. I knew that I would not go to college, although I wanted to. I was fortunate and worked to get a great career, but my peers hate me for it 25 years later. kinda funny!!

Why Will the WT Ultimately Fail
by Kum Vulcan ini see two compelling reasons right off the bat:.
1. financial - this one is a bit counterintuitive, as we all know the wtb$ is loaded.
but if we could see real preaching stats by territory, i bet my ass that the most return visits are in the western/developed countries.

Despite the high turnover rate, the witnesses will always thrive. As mentioned, a religion with over a million will not go down.. Remember, they have slave labor and low cost medical. If you get sick, they send you home.
People get the light and leave, but new ones come in. We are replaceable spokes in a wheel.

The time left is reduced
by hoser inwe had our special assembly day a couple of weekends ago.
some of the highlights:.
it is futile to store up material things they will only end up in the landfill.

It is crazy that people still belive this. I have a lotta J-Dub friends that think I am materialistic because I open say, MY CHILDREN WILL GO TO COLLEGE!!! It upset them...
WOW...same garbage, different city. I try to allow my children to have an open mind, but my son was digusted by the garbage that he memorized the entire bible (66 books) in a few hours.
