I have heard of sisters handling the Microphones and taking Responsibilities that were reserved for men in the past. It’s surprising if The organization remains strict on their requirements.

Slang or Terms Only Used by Bethelities
by new boy inthere are many terms used at bethel that might sound foreign to normal people.
there are many words or terms used at bethel that are unique only to their organization.
here are just a few of them.. “a jack” this is someone who is a slacker or just lazy.. “a pot licker” this term has been used for many years but its connotation is unclear.

At my mother’s funeral, I asked the speaker to talk about my mom and NOT use the outline. He deviated from the outline and said,”......loved to go in field service”
so disapointed!!!

JW's and crack heads
by James Mixon intiffany haddish, comedian.
"life in south central los angeles in the 90's, "there were gang violence, crack heads, drive by shooting and jw's".
how interesting she associated all the bad things in south central and jw's.....door to door work in south central can be a little dangerous, my hat off to those folks.

Our kingdom hall was on Manchester, near the Harbor Freeway. Our territory included most of the area for the Hoover Crips. I remember a close friend who was called a JAh-Hoover!!!
Unfortunately, when in field service, he was definitely a target for a drive-by.

I’m going to have to check it out! I am wondering what part of south-central she grew up in. She is very accurate in her assessment Though. Our congregation had over 100 publishers in about 40 pioneers. There were four congregations in our kingdom hall..
Some of the experiences as a 13-year-old auxiliary pioneer were incredible. Overall though, I enjoyed the experience. I wouldn’t trade it. Gangs and crack cocaine were prevalent during that time. There were witnesses who were gang members. What an interesting mix.

What's destroying Watchtower!
by UnshackleTheChains infor me, beyond any shadow of a doubt, it's the extreme shunning policy.. at a recent sunday meeting, i listened to a complete brainwashed sister saying how important it was that we stick to the shunning policy even if it is a close relative.. i just thought.
wtf.
there is a big difference between the brainwashed and the awoken class!.

I would have to say that the organization never admitting that they are wrong is going to be their downfall! This is not a sustainable practice if they have members with half a brain.
At some point you have to say, I’m sorry, we made a mistake, we were wrong! The new light doctrine is going to fail them eventually!
They make changes and think everyone forgets i.e. the generation! I think that alone has brought many people out!

Difficulty fading out
by Emily1987 inthis is my first post on here so i apologize that it is like an essay!.
my husband and i are currently 'fading out' of the truth.
we stopped preaching in may 2016 and limited meeting attendance in january 2017 and stopped completely in june 2017. my main reason for this was my whole life i have been doing things to please others, even getting baptized to please my mum.

Hang in there and be strong!! Life is too short to be miserable!!
This is an excellent support group. We transferred our Publisher card to a kingdom hall about 15 miles away from my home. We disappeared perfectly!

Sometimes I wonder if Christianity and the concept of Jesus was invented to merely control people. From what I understand, there were several Jesus-like figures viewed as the savior throughout history (Mithra,Tammuz and Krishna). Honestly, I'm not really sure.
