As a witness, the evilest thing in the world is a CHURCH!! It's incredible how at a church there is much love and forgiveness.

I went to a christening at a church today, a black church. It was an incredible experience!! Women were an active part of the service, and the people were very welcoming. They even hugged new visitors. The singing and activity was VERY moving! This was very different than anything that I have experienced after 40+ years of black/or white kingdom halls. I appreciate those that invited me. I plan to go again to a black church. It was an actual spiritual experience!!!

Who really is the Faithful and Discreet Slave? The recent changes and the Governing Body's 10 year plan
by redsetter2 ini am sure we were all shocked at the governing body update #2 with the unusual and impulsive changes set forth.. i am an insider at whq, and when i was on reddit and in communication with avoidjw i explained to the best of my ability that the approach on disfellowshipping was going to change based on the new light at the 2023 agm, that the jubilee rumor was false, and there were going to be changes on how jws approached disfellowshipping in response to the norway situation if it didn't turn out in watchtower's favor.
the decision came because of a legal blow to watchtower, not because "holy spirit" wad directing a faithful slave, who is going to become the "evil slave", more explanation on this soon.. everything i stated came true.
i left reddit exjw community due to the immature and mentally unstable nature there, and yet as has been the case my words came true.

All the Old JW Acquaintances Passing Away
by StephaneLaliberte inyesterday, my dad told me an older sister passed away.
she wasn't too old (in her 60s), but i knew her 30 years ago and haven't seen her in 15 years; the main reason being that i faded 10 years ago.. yesterday, i seriously considered attending the funeral and catch-up with old jws i used to know.
after thinking it over, i decided against it.

I went to a friends, mothers funeral. Although I haven't been to the hall in about 10 years, nobody asked. Everyone was excited to see me and we were all very happy to connect. I would suggest that you go.
All of these people were very close to Me about 40 years ago, that's what's important. The bond!

How did it come to this?
by New day ini am now in my early 60’s.
i was baptized in 1980. i served as a ministerial servant and an elder.
i gave my all for many years but about eight years ago i started to question many things.

Wow!! Incredible post and comments by everyone!! Baptized in the early 1980's and left after a 2013 WT. I can truly empathize with everyone of "THIS GENERATION".
Really makes you wonder how anyone could stay in after reading Crisis of Conscience and the Generation Teaching change.
A prominent elder in Los Angeles (unsolicitly) told me a few years ago (at his mother's funeral) that he was going to KEEP Going because this is all that he knew.
Keep Chasing ya dreams everyone!! Despite being 50+; Chase those dreams!!

How Many Of You Knew Something Was Really Wrong Growing Up JW? What was Your First Clue?
by Sea Breeze inthis is directed to born-ins.
around age 10 or 12 is when it first hit me.
i started asking questions about how the world worked and i really wanted an honest opinion from my parents.

The baptismal questions changed about 2-years after my baptism. They literally had everyone pledge their allegiance to "God's spirit directed ORGINAZION"!! Seemed blasphemous to me as a teenager.
An elder described it as signing a blank contract. I thought; "Isn't that bad?" This was also doing the time of Kareem (who played many years past his prime due to contracts and theft) and Majic Johnson's (1 million annually for 25 years) contracts being in the news a lot of the time. I followed the concepts of BAD Contract closely.

10 years on and I’m still indoctrinated
by joe134cd inthis experience highlights the level of my indoctrination, after 10 years of been a pomo.
a few months back my gf was hinting to me about what we could do for my birthday.
to be honest i just had no idea, that i even had a birthday.

Unfortunately; We will ALWAYS be a witness (or EX-witness) in some form.
It's like the song; Hotel California!! You can never leave.
It's THAT traumatizing!
