Do JW's Have A Tribulation Plan

it is likely that at some time or other there will be a major shtf scenario.. my parents always talked of all going to the kingdom hall and waiting it out while god destroyed the evil people.. but bethal doesnt actually have food stocks and medical stocks, does it?

they dont have a plan to distribute essential supplies to groups of jw's residing on watchtower owned land, do they?.

if there is a ww3 and the watchtower says "ok this is it, this is the big a" then what?.

One thing I remember was how important it was to be close to the books study as they would direct us what to do. So it was either the KH or book study house that would be so important. Problem being, is that they also said that during the GT many of us could be killed because Satan would want us to fail in our faith and the end would come when Satan turned his attention towards WTS. So really, our safe haven within the congregation was not all that important because we would have been persecuted up to the point of death while we would have the hope of living forever while GB with the hope of heavenly life would be spared because God would step in and cut the tribulation short on their behalf.

That's the plan I heard without the reasoning between the lines. I think, if we look at 1975 scenario we can get a better understanding of the tribulation plan. If the majority feel like the end is imminent, while I doubt wts will state so, many witnesses will take one of two extreme views. Get in greater debt because after all they won't have to pay it off, or they will sell everything and pioneer until they run out of funds. That's the more realistic plan they have. It will be either greed or guilt driven. Either one will fail miserably.

When I was in, I didn't always follow all he rules and I didn't believe all the "minor" wts teachings. There are many witnesses who are generally normal.

Speaking of cops and guns. I was told by an elder in the family that some 10 years ago that there were prison guards who were JWs because of lack of jobs in the area and they carried weapons with the stipulation being that if they had to use it, they wouldn't or it would be up to their conscience. That was in Blythe, Arizona area if anyone wants to confirm this. So, again, some wts policies, guidelines don't apply to all jws.

i was a third generation witness, a ministerial servant twice in my life, a failed pioneer (i only made it six months).

when the article about higher education come out, my family finally decided it was okay for me to get a two year degree.

and that enabled me to provide for myself--before that is was impossible.

You will regret if you try going back. Going through all the hoops as some have done just isn't worth it. If your friends actually shun you then what are the chances they won't go tell elders the first chance they sense you are spreading "apostate teachings"? If you have a good friend, call him up and talk to him, tell him what you think he should know so he can check his references, you can do likewise with whoever.

I thought I had a good friend too, we talked about anything and everything until the day I told him to read old WTS publications and that I am leaving the WTS. Well, that was the end of that "friendship," since according to him we had nothing in common. I don't regret leaving and have no use for the dubs who shun others. My inlaws still talk to me while they know I HATE WTS with a passion. Sometimes we make ourselves believe that we need to stay away from jw "friends and family" as if it's our own duty to do so. If you want to know if your friend(s) are real or false, call them up and talk to them . Don't waste any more of your life by going back to be pushed around by elders so they can decide if you can be reinstated after 6 months or 2 years.

i figure i can do more to wake friends and family up on the inside than the outside and i didn't come to that decision without a great deal of pain.

i know it's not "the truth" but it isn't a bad life for me,and i still very much believe in god.

the witnesses aren't right but neither are the mormons, the catholics, etc and i have other family devoted to both those faiths.

This might help, place bibles at the doors, free of charge, don't bother asking for doantions. Maybe this is as close to doing bible work in jw service as it gets, You received free, give free :)

Will the WT stats take a dive in 2014?

while looking through stas charts on jwfacts i notice two charts of publishers through the years.. on them, it is very clear that growth fell off the chart after 1975 and dropped dramaticaly again at 2000.. we know why for 75 and remember that many understood the big a to come by 2000.. will 2014 mark a subconscious and hopefully conscious psychological reaction from jws and 'interested' ones i wonder?.

"We don't serve for a date" - remember that one? They will just have to emphasize this pile of BS some more in the coming years.

"We love Jehovah and it doesn't matter if the end comes in our lifetime" - another good one to put some guilt on those who might think it odd that Jesus' return was 100 years ago and he has accomplished absolutely nothing.

"Love of the greater number will cool off" - if there is any negative talk, you know brothers what the bible says...The love cooling off is talking about faithful so you know the end must be near......

Many arguments will support WTS line to guilt others to continue on. The may put stricter rules in regards to those who leave, they already are calling people mentally diseased so no faithful dub wants to be mentally diseased they they.

I'm sure there will be more people who will wake up and wonder what's going on but the big question is will they quickly fall asleep again and continue fallowing the filthy and disgusting shitheads or will they actually stay awake long enough to realize they've been conned and finally leave the cult.

A lot of people who do don't want to be JWs anymore are so angry they stop believing in God

Problem is that there is no proof of God especially since bible is full of fables and distorted facts which eliminated being holy which means that if there is a God he's not what bible describes. As for anger, I don't think it has much to do with god as much as it has to do with having our lives screwed over, youth lost, opportunities taken away and so forth.

Preaching when you don't believe

When I learned the truth about wts, I still believed in a lot of nonsense and the bible itself. As you explore more, you will either free yourself of all unprovable beliefs or you will base your beliefs on something that is dear to you without it necessarily being the reality. This will take time as you continue to explore the history, religion and evolution of god. While preaching with JW in service, it won't do you any good discussing bible or god since if you end up studying with them you WILL HAVE TO study wts publications so you end up getting nowhere that way. I'm sure you talked about the bible with householders on several occasion and I'm sure you will remember that the conversation always ended up pointing to wts as God's channel........

If you want to preach your own version of beliefs and on your own, most people also don't care about religion or bible so your success will be similar to that of when you were peddling wts BS. If you want to talk bible with other believers, then you can look for bible groups, or church groups but you must be careful you don't get discovered by other JWs or you'll be DF. While, I'm sure you see a lot of good people trapped in wts, you have to realize that if you ever hit a wrong nerve with any of them, you will hear from the elders. As you also know, JW "friend" are generally not real friends but are conditional associates as long as you agree with all their believes - the day you stop, or make your views known, many of these so called friends will no longer acknowledge your existence - this also includes family members. As I said, generally doesn't mean all but 99% fall in that category of not real friends.

Think about your strategy how you will exit because sooner or later you won't be able to cope with the BS you keep hearing. If you're young, as it appears, think about going back to school and take some useful courses that will help you in the future. If you have a trade, then that's a big plus. Look after yourself first and plan your future as wts will not do so for you.

LOL - Forget about China or India and other parts of the world, let's look at US of A - home country of the cult. With over a million active plus many df-dub believers, how many Americans actually know what JWs are preaching? Generally, people know JWs don't take blood, often are called Jehovahs by the public and they go house to house recruiting. Maybe another point to add is that JWs believe in armageddon or are doomsday cult. Outside of these few points, JWs in US are failing to even teach the public basic facts about their beliefs!

Another thing, what are they witnesses of?????? Have they been eyewitnesses of something they can go and tell the public, have they experienced something performed by Jesus or Jehovah? NO! They are witnesses of Watchtower that tells them to go sell trash. The are witnesses of a cult that is ignorant, uneducated and lacking in critical thinking.
