hi folks!.
do we have any non-biblical evidence that would show how criminals were executed during jesus' day?
i beleive the cross was used for our saviour.
hi suprashy and welcome aboard
There are archaoelogical evidence concerning the cross. That there no well problem showing evidence. Take a look at past issues at
Many of the issues concern (among others topics) the cross and the first christians. take a look at issues 9:2, 9:4, 9:5, 9:6, 9:7, 9:8,
9:9, 10:2. A link to issue 9:5 is below

i killed quite a bit of time a couple of years ago reading tom clancy's 1996 novel executive orders.
it is not a particularly good novel, and for having 1200+ pages, it has an anti-climactic ending, imo, and the protagonist (and author!
) seems to be somewhere to the right of mussolini.. but the similarities between the plot in this tom clancy novel and what has happened in the us since sept 11 are scary, especially if it is true that the same people who organized the wtc attack is also behind the envelopes with anthrax bacteria sent to media outlets.
scary enough close to reality
Now i'm wondering is how did the book end...and has the terrorists
read that?

...it was an effective speech.
i was impressed, and thought it only fair to say so here given the recent political discussions.
I didn't get the whole speech but I reacted to his retoric
"either your for us [USA] or against us"
Is the issue for or against the USA? Isn't it for or against terrorism?
Although I'm an American citizen, and totally agree that the terrorism must be eliminated, I cannot accept Bush's generalism
and I except most Moslem countries feel the same.
By attacking the innocent to eliminate the guilty, the warlords in Washington will most certainly just create more hatred and the basis for more terrorism.

heres something i've always wondered ,why do jw's insist that you have to say amen to conclued a prayer?.
of all the prayers in the bible i can't recall one ending in amen (correct me if i'm wrong).. anyway amen means "so be it" so why not say "so be it" at the end of your prayer or words to that effect?.
most of the prayers in the bible just end with nothing tagged on to the end.. so were does this come from?.
Though I cannot answer your questions I have heard an interesting
meaning of AMEN. The literal meaning of the word to the Jews was "God our King is Trustworthy. This is what the three Hebrew letters
(-A-Adonay(God) -M-Malak(king)- Y - Yachal (to be patient, hope, wait
trustworthy)) signify that make up the word "Amen"
In the NT we find Jesus applying this title to Himself whenspeaking
to the angel of the Laodicean Church (Rev. 3.14) "...the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness..."
What's interesting is that Jesus himself implies that he is the"Amen"
- "GOD our King..." Interesting thought

found this on a search and it made me really think???.
i do not know the author so i cannot give credit, but it is not my own work.. ana.
this study is designed for those who are currently jehovah's witnesses.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic but it does seem that
the "Alpha & Omega", "the First and the Last" [Jehovah God??]
has died...
Now we're in big trouble

are there any jw's posting here who believe that they are not of the anointed class?.
also, of the jw's who post here who do consider themselves as of the anointed class, do you feel that you have a special mission with regard to making ex-jw's aware of their standing with their creator?.
englishman.. ..... fanaticism masquerading beneath a cloak of reasoned logic.
I believe I fell out of your category all together
I believe I belong to the non-JW/non-exJW Anointed Class
When is the Class reunion taking plass?
