  there are a lot of thread s and arguments around the 587/607 issue, it can be a bit confusing, and for those of us still in, like me, to help others, it would not be a topic i would choose first.

  it was something i found out, after i awakened, before i simply brushed it aside, as something like worldly chronology against biblical chronology.

  imho to be ready for this issue, you have to be awake first, unless you are a real history buff... anyway, there may be another take on this matter:.

  is there any jehovah's witness who can answer these questions about 1914?.

  can you demonstrate, using the holy scriptures, that the messianic kingdom was established in 1914, that jesus got the full legal right to become king that year, and that jesus returned invisibly in 1914, and that the "last days" began that year?.

  1:) no encyclopedia, no history book, and no archaeology book that i have ever seen have ever said that nebuchadnezzar destroyed jerusalem and the temple in the year 607 bce.

  A witness will try to use Rev 12 to prove that immediately after Satan has lost the battle in Heavens , he was hurled down on earth and caused the WW1 ... and the outbreak of the ww1 is the proof !

  BUT Rev 12 cannot be used that way , because it is against the teaching of Christ !

  how long has the christ been invisibly present?.

  i don't know as i have covered this one before or not, but can't we say that jesus has been invisibly present ever since his ascension in the first century?

  didn't he indicate that he was in this following scripture?.

  The Greek Word Parousia! How should it be trasnslated?

  the greek word parousia!

  how should it be translated?.

  i say, that because it can be applied to presence; which the governing body who does have an ax to grind, would jump on; and apply it, as they have to the thirteen occurrences, where it appears in their new world translation bible.. as i said, it can be applied to their teaching that the christ was invisibly present in the year 1914, but according to the information i found, that application is incorrect.

  and i know all the reasons that believing in them are wrong.

  but has anyone else noticed a growth in this type of conversation?

  God didn't tell us when the end of this world will be ,

  but through Biblical chronology found in inspired prophecies, He tells us when certain events - taking place within His people, during the "latter days"- will be , I mean, events that marks Christ's "coming"

  and around 2012 a certain event will be , that is , the "70 years of Babylon" will come to end ,

  and His worshipers with "spirit and truth" , who were/are prisoners in Babylon (and at the "Daughter of Babylon" ) will be made free and gathered in "one flock" under the Jesus Christ authority

  see Jeremiah 29:10-14

  for those "studious" Christians I recommend this theme

  so i was talking to one of my "apologist" friends, and he just got back from a mormon outreach mission in utah.

  he was able to help a 17 year old mormon girl to begin to see the truth and was really excited about it.

  he goes to these temple conventions and temple openings all the time to preach jesus to them.. so he was interested in doing that at a jw convention.

  but I think you are worshiping Father "with Spirit and with truth" , and in this case these ones are not so dangerous ...

  ... as are the ones (false Christs ) sitting on the "seat of Moses" ... within God' people , settled themselves even "as god in the Temple of God" !

  These ones represent the real danger for Jesus brothers !

  Do somebody know what Russell taught about Babylon the Great?

  i once looked into an old publication in the kingdomhall library and found what russell taught to be babylon the great.

  i remember that it was not what the watchtower explains today, the world empire of false religion but it was something else.

  but i do not remember the expanation.

  By the way , have you consolidate your view/understanding regarding who/what is BTG during the "latter days" period of time ? (I said during the latter days , and not all the time from apostles until today )
