this is in response to a post i did on another thread about the borg not having as much swagger as they used to.

it was suggested that i post it under a new topic so here it is.

it's a brief summary of the decades and how they've managed to get away with claiming that 'the end' is nigh for over 130 years now.

Great job MARY. The Org lasted due to their shifting technics. They are experts in that, plus they have white-wash their past. Past doesn't matter for the average JW. It is irrelevant and trying to show them their past mistakes, only strengths their faith and the fact that they were wrong and corrected the mistake, while the rest of "Christians" did not change their mistakes and keep believing false doctrines.

It is just sad to see how they easily accept doctrine changes dictated by the Org(GB). For them anything comes out from Brooklyn is like God is speaking to them!!!

Also one of the reasons they lasted is FEAR. Fear of Armageddon, fear of an everlasting Destruction, anihilation of their entity if they cease to follow YHWH (Org). It is shame that the GB manages to control all those millions, but most of alll is they managed to be worshiped like Pope. Everything that they condemn they have become.

We that have our families inside there we feel so much pain because our loved ones are being abused by a banch of false prophets. We only wish if they could see the freedom we enjoy in Christ and feel the love of God.

The "Daily Text" a mini Brainwash before breakfast? YAWN!

i hate the damn daily text!

i would wake up tired, looking for coffee and some eggs after a party night and my mum or wife would say "first lets read the daily text".......so not in the mood!

it's like a mini brainwash in case you forget your a witness later in the day.. remember whaen it came with the yearbook attached?

It is exactly of what was happening in George's Orwells novel 1984. The 5 minute hate!!! When everyone had to stop working and watch trhough the screen a 5 minute session from the Big Brother....

The similarities of the WT and 1984's Big Brother are simply more than amazing

Why did they put magazines in my door?

i come home from work yesterday evening and i was already in a foul mood from having a very unproductive day (which was followed by an even worse day today...not good when one is commission only).

i open my screen door and what do i find rolled up in my door knob?

you guessed it.... current (may 09) "public" edition of the wacktower and asleep!

Jehovah Knows in Advance His People Will Fail - July 1 09 WT

in this public edition of the watchtower it uses an illustration of a piece of furniture to help explain why jehovah tolerated polygamy.. but the more interesting point i thought was the reasoning in the first paragraph in the second column about jehovah warning his people when they strayed from his standards.

it says "however, he knew in advance that his people would often fail to obey even the most basic of commands, such as the one against idolatry.

(exodus 32:9).

Were there 200 JW's disfellowshipped in 1980 all at once - in Cleveland, Ohio?

i have some old notes from a 1981 circuit assembly.

brother frank bartell was the district overseer.

i am pretty sure its 1981 or 1982.. anyway, in his last talk he said that there was a terrible situation in cleveland ohio the previous year (1980).

WT is the ULITMATE CAPITALISTIC ORGANIZATION...Capitalistic regimes they use people for their benifts. They are trying their best to take as much they can from people and give them less.

WT not only managed that, but they managed to make people WORK for them FREE, and at the end of the day they PAY WT for their FREE labour....

Why do American's pronounce herbs as 'erbs?

New member introduction

i'm new to the forum and couldn't find a place for new members to introduce themselves... so here i am, starting a new topic!(bold!).

i started studying with the jws a few months ago.

we're now on chap.

Welcome to the forum. This "love" that JW's suppose they have is WITH CONDITIONS. If you become a JW and after few years you decide to leave them, then ALL of your JW's friends will leave you at ONCE. They will see you walking at the street and pretend that they don't know you, even if you say hi to them.

Many of us(like my self)who was at that cult for 33 years know how EVIL is. We have lost our families, friends, relatives. Ouf family is broken due to WT policy of shunning and seeing as "evil"anyone who do not wish to follow their "religion".Their smile faces and "happiness"is a trap.

My humble advice:

Stop the Bible Study and go on with your life. Life is short. Don't fall into the trap of the WT cult. Because many like you started a Bible Study for a joke at the end of the day they ended up JW's.

Ask those who left that evil Organization what we are facing...If you like PM me and we will talk about more. Remember Jesus is freedom...

Lovely comments Blondie!!! I just wonder how long they will use the carrot of the "end". WT is not the one I knew back in the 90's. I left 4 years after the "definition"of the generation in 1995.

At that time JW's had something to look for. It was the generation (those alive in 1914 and seen the sign)that it was supposed to see the end. They had a landmark, a unique date that eventually will lead them to the "end" and to the "New World". Preaching work was separeting sheeplike ones from goatlike ones. Now for a JW there is nothing to hold on to. No generation, no seperation, just a faded sound of an "end" that no JW will ever see
