GB member David Splane says Jehovah had already chosen the organization in 1916
by slimboyfat inin the new dvd governing body member david splane discusses the fact that the bible students did not simply disappear after russell died in 1916. he says this is because jehovah had already chosen the organization to do his work.. this is not a work of man, this is a work of jehovah god.
it's evident that jehovah had already chosen this organization, because of the faithfulness and the sincerity of the men behind it.
it's obvious that jehovah had already chosen this organization to get his work done.

The new DVD is just another effort by the WT to white wash their past....I have seen it today and it is really interesting to see how they change their past history

Disrespect of the Bible
by brotherdan ini am going to get a lot of flack for this post, but i need to do it.
i want to preface this by saying that i don't judge any of you and i believe in the right of freedom of speech and freedom of religion, including your freedom to not practice one.. however, i'm finding a trend among some ex jws here.

I understand why some become agnostic. Personally I'm a Christian but hold a lot of doubts in several stories of the Old Testament. But I take in my life the Teachings of Jesus that do have a universal message for all: Love...
Regarding disrespect of the Bible I would say that no matter how we feel for religion we should respect what others believe as "Holy", either is Christianity, Muslim, Hindu, Budhism, since for another person what we considered as stupid he might consider it as logic.
You can't just sit and argue with everyone on this plannet regarding faith and religion and if the religion that someone might believe is true or false. Just accept what they believe, and as indivituals we have our own mind regarding faith.
Personally I wouldnt' waste a minute trying to pesruade someone for religion...

Perhaps he could tell us what did Bible Students believed at that time and what "truths"did Jesus accepted?
And perhaps he could us if the criteria of Jesus can change from time to time? Does He use the same criteria all the time?
What if Jesus makes inspection now, which so called Christian group can fit His requirements?
Do the teachings and doctrine of the Bible Students in 1919 are the same of the modern day Jehovahs witnesses?
So if Jesus chosen back in 1919 the Bible Students for certain "truths they teached" do those "truths" can be applied today?
How would the WT react if a JW starts to preach and believe the "truths" of 1919?
If they are considered apostate teachings, the "truths" that Jesus approved in 1919, then who is the real apostate? Jesus who pick them in 1919 because they comply His criteria, or the modern day Jehovahs Witnesses that they haven't kept not a single teaching of 1919?

Your life is just starting...you make your stand in that evil cult and nothing happened. Time to move on in a life of freedom. I left WT 10 years ago for doctrine issues, and I haven't regret it for a single minute.
I wish I was younger in age, and didn't wasted my best years in that evil cult. It is my life and I will use it the way I believe is correct. I do what I like and I keep no regrets
At least Vatican has appologize for their priests who molested children and you can see that in their official Vatican website. WT instead of accepting the issue they pretend that everything is perfect in their so called earthly paradise. Instead of going after those molesters they protect them. Is just sickening and evil

Desis post
Hi all,
I feel so discourage by now. Thursday was the first time I went to the meetings since 3 weeks and some looked at me in a strange way. One of this persons was an elder I like very much. He greeted me with a reproachful look and after the meeting he came to me and asked (on a false joking tone) if I still new them. I just answered no in the same tone and went.
Yesterday after the meeting, we went to eat an ice cream with our daughters and some “friends” from the KH, which we like very much and with whom we regularly come together. I talked with a sister about the new generation teaching and told her how silly I find the new explanation. You should have seen how fast she went on “JW-mode”. She was on the defensive and asked me if I’m from the GB to know what is silly and what not. I told her it lacks of logic. She told me it’s just the new light. It has been like that since at least 100 years, that’s it. Then I asked her why the new light of 2007 about the generation is obsolete by now? Aren’t they directed by the Holy Spirit? Then I said the truth as revealed in the bible doesn’t change, only human interpretations, that are imperfect, change. She had to agree and then said the bible says they are the FDS not the F and perfect slave. Jehovah has is timetable and will fulfill his will in due time even if it’s the grand-children of her 14 year old daughter who will see this fulfillment. As I saw she was getting nervous and not acting as usual, I just agreed and let her alone. I just wanted to scream.
When I was in the car I told my husband that I don’t believe in this stuff anymore. I believe in God, but not in the FDS. He asked me if this organization is not God’s organization which one is serving God ? I told him I don’t even know if God has an organization on earth. Then he asked me if I believe Moses was led by God? I said yes. Then he asked me if all he did was perfect. I told him no he did some mistakes, but everything Moses said in God’s name accomplished. Then we stopped talking about that.
I was asking myself why I was still going to those meetings. I found out the truth about the Borg 3 month ago, and for me it was clear enough to stop preparing any meeting and involving myself in this imperfect organization. I wanted to fade slowly…(sigh).
Now I don’t even know what to do. It’s so difficult when you have a hubby you really love and 2 little children. If I were single, I would have left straight away.
Yesterday I felt so discouraged after the meeting. I thought I will stop all activities relating to this organization. In order to get encouragements I came on the forum and read until 1.00 am then I went exhausted to bed.
Sorry for talking so much, but I just wanted to share my feelings with you.
Peace,
Desi
