  So before the elders take any action, they have to contact Bethel and inform what is the problem, wait guidance from Bethel and then take the next steps....

  My return to the WT...a terrible mistake

  i haven't posted for quite a bit, decided to share my thoughts on this one, so it is a reference topic for anyone who decides to return back to the org, knowing all about the tatt.

  being way for quite long for almost 15 years and all wt's activities, i have missed quite a lot including the "new light" latest updates, i found it quite hard to follow up what was going on to the meetings.

  new songs, wt broadcast, videos, internet (so wt now is in favor of the internet) cartoons, and everything seemed completely new and weird to me.. reason for going back it was the severe pressure from close family members to return back to the "truth".

  Hi Chook,

  The reason I went back it was not to loose contact with my young at age son and I'm into the fading process now. Regarding my current believes I'm spiritual person, I believe in a Creator, for sure I don't believe the Old Testament and parts of the New, I consider my Christ's follower (I will not go through the Divine or supernatural nature of Christ), since I believe what he teach, the simple universal law of love. I don't have faith in any institution, or religion, and specially the WT, which I consider them as mind control cult, like Mormons.

  DId you ever fall asleep at the meetings, Assemblys??

  if i'm tierd i fall asleep anywere so the meetings ect were no diffrent my wife would always try to wake me but im a deep sleeper.

  and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

  but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

  how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

  I believe it would be great if we all could create a charity for ex-jw victims. I had 2 other JW friends who committed suicide and with oompa is 3. I don't know how many of you have similar experience, that you know at least one person who committed suicide, it looks like jw's aren't the happiest people on earth

  ok, i'm not one for conspiracy theories but lately i've uncovered some interesting facts that i think warrant some attention.. first of all, russell was a freemason.

  all the early watchtower and books he authored have freemason symbology and art throughout them.

  not a big deal i thought, until i read more about freemasons and the so-called "illuminati", a group of 13 families that supposedly control the world.. supposedly these 13 families, such as the duponts, mcdonalds, kennedys, .

  I always liked your advice. Good to see that you are still around. Well you know my story very well, this time is going to be my way...and I do have lot of excuses this time under my sleeve. My work that requires long trips and flying at least once a month, working on Sundays as well. I don't feel that they will dominate me this time, I have learned my lesson well and the game

  Well, lets put it this way since I do have many of Russell's and Booze Jo's original books.

  Is not quite clear that he was a Freemason, but from the public talks he gave he seemes to like them. OK I agree that he was using all the Masonic symbols, he was deep into the Occult and Pyramidology but still there isn't any real solid evidence that he was member of the Freemasons.

  For me is enough the fact that he was deeply involved into the Occult and this obvious by the early WT teachings that he was responsible. If he was a Freemason is something we will never be able to find out

  Hi Scratchme1010,

  There many of you that I don't know, since I'm from the old ones in this forum. Well, I will try give you some more light in regards with my situation and the reason that I went back. For sure I don't believe that WT represents God on Earth, in fact I don't believe the in Bible anymore, specially the Old Testament, What I kept are just the Teachings of Jesus Christ, that I find them Universal.

  In regards with my believes most of my family members know them, and personally I don't discuss with them any religion related matter. My brothers and parents didn't shun me at all. Don't forget the Greek families have strong bonds and WT can't really impose their shunning policy on them.

  The reason I went back it was of my son who is not living with me, he is young at age and because of the WT brainwashing by the other grandparents (the one is Elder) I decided to go back because of him and to have easier access.

  That was the only reason, and I'm working on the fade out process. I knew from the very start what I was going to do but I guess, still is hard, despite the fact I knew what it would be like.

  I have missed my first son's wedding and really this was heartbreaking, since I was disfellowhshiped then. Is just you are looking for way to balance things but that is impossible in the WT world,

  This time I will fade and that's it

  while visiting a still in friend last week we had an interesting discussion on narcissism.

  he made a very interesting comment that got me thinking about the above.

  we were discussing the nature of celebrity and fame and he mentioned that he would find it very difficult to cope with constant adulation and praise.

  The Old Testament, basically is formed by copying other faiths and Myths from the Mesopotamia region. Specially the Hebrew God and the way he acted shows that is more like a egoistic, Narcissistic, with human behavior instead of Divine.

  For instance we have in the early Jewish faith, that Jaweh had a Goddess wife, Ashira. So that's gone now...Basically it was the Old Testament, and all the violence, hate, and rules by a misogynist God that turned me to become agnostic. What kind of God is this when he demands from the supposedly chosen nation to go kill everyone and keep the virgins for themselves(Numbers chapter 31)no difference from what Isis is doing, following the Bible rules!

  Or what kind of God demands for woman to be stoned to death because she didn't scream while being raped, or if she screams then she can married the person that raped her, as long as he pays compensation to her father!!! Or when a woman defends her self from a rapist and grabs the testicles of the offender the penalty is to chop her hand off....really give me a f..,.ing break. This is not God.

  During the centuries the Catholic/Orthodox Church, they have vanished many other books connected to the Hebrew Bible and mostly the Hellenic Scriptures, since it didn't fit their agenda like the Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Maria Magdalene, Gospel of Judas, Gospel of Nicodemus, Faith and Wisdom.
