Final arrangements are being made for the upcoming Kingdom Ministry School, and we are now pleased to provide you with some additional information and direction.

A revised, softcover text book, entitled "Shepherd the Flock of God" - 1 Pet 5:2 has been prepared in connection with the school. In addition, lapel cards are being provided for elders and ministerial servants for use as identification upon entry at the school location and during the course. The appropriate number of text books will be shipped to the mailing address of the coordinator of the body of elders when the textbooks become available in the language of the congregation. The lapel cards will be shipped to the same address at a later date. Copies of the textbook that were requested in languages other than the language of the congregation will be sent to the circuit overseer for distribution.

The coordinator of the body of elders should immediately give each elder a copy of the 'Shepherding' textbook. However, the lapel cards should be kept in a safe place until a week before the school. Then he should give the appropriate card to each elder and ministerial servant. This may prevent cards from being lost. The lapel card should be worn when entering the school location and at all times during the school. We will leave it to each elder to decide what he will do with his 1991 Kingdom Ministry School textbook. If he decides to keep the book, he must make sure it is kept in a secure place so that others do not have access to it. Otherwise, the book should be completely destroyed.

We would like to emphasise the importance of keeping these new textbooks secured and confidential, both before and after they are distributed. The textbooks should not be left on tops or desks or in other places where they are easily accessible by family members or other individuals. The information is designed for use by the elders only, and other individuals should not have any opportunity to read the information.

If an elder has moved away, you may have an extra textbook or lapel card, or for some other reason you have extra textbooks or lapel cards, the coordinator of the body of elders should hand deliver them to the circuit overseer. He should not send textbooks or lapel cards through the mail. If your circuit overseer is a considerable distance away, the coordinator of the body of elders may give him these items the next time he sees the circuit overseer. Likewise, if for some reason you do not receive enough textbooks or lapel cards, the coordinator of the body of elders should contact the circuit overseer for assistance.

We are providing the text books to elders in advance so that you will be able to read the book through before attending the school. You will want to concentrate particularly on chapters 1,2,4-7,9 and 11, since they will be considered specifically at the school. In addition to your 'shepherding' textbook, please remember to bring your Bible, Organized to do Jehovah's Will, Benefit from Theocratic Ministry School Education and some note paper......

Of course.....Although the reality is, that the admin seems to be running scared of the quotes from their own literature......this is the reaction that came from that....

I am more than willing to put up with the Judgement and Criticism, (although it makes me mad as hell), if only...one person... reads the info and begins to research and question the org. and its teaching, then its more than worth it. I have posted this on FB etc to show people the reaction of JWs to anything that shows them up. The fear just takes them over.....and they actually begin to attack you PERSONALLY instead of intelligently trying to refute what you have said and putting forward a clear argument to defend their faith. In this case...I said nothing...but just posted a link. This was the reaction.....much more than a knee jerk reaction. This was based on emotion due to hitting a nerve. How on earth can JWs be petrified of the quotes in their own literature.....?

They can talk...but it is a one way conversation. The minute you say anything, or show them anything contrary to that....they freak! They shut down , as they see it as unproductive. This is how they have been programmed to react. Sad and Frustrating!

I got a lovely vid. posted onto my wall too before the admin. very bravely ran away and kicked me off the site. (sigh) I really dont know how I'm going to sleep tonight.

Thanks for alll your comments folks... I really appreciate it. My kids have not been left in the dark as to why we left the org. I tell them everything they need to know. Gran is quite decent considering I am a loud and proud apostate. She looks after the kids well and they all love her. I feel the way that Jamiebowers expressed it is close to how I feel.... that I am not good enough to have their children around me...whereas, they are.

I think I am more angry that gran would respect elder sons wishes....but NOT mine! They obviously think they know better than me. I am grateful for the thoughts and advice.....you are all way too sensible : ) A guest, thank you for the time you took to put all that up for me. Another confrontation looms. Sigh!

Ok... I am out org. 18months. Have 2 children. I have a brother in law who is an uber elder and follows every rule and regulation to the letter. His wife is an active witness and he has two children also. My Mother in Law, who is gran to all of the children, sees them all together on a Friday after school and keeps them for a few hours so they can have some association.....which I absolutely am all for.

My BIL elder, has stipulated to gran that his children should be nowhere near me or ex hubby, and should under no circumstances be in my house, even to play with my children. I requested the same thing, based on the fact, that I dont want my boys to be around people who treat others badly for whatever reason. I really do not think its a good example for them... I do not want them to become accepting of this.

However, I have found out that my Mother in Law has been taking my youngest round to their house every week, while waiting for my older son to come out of high school. She has not cracked a light about it... and I feel angry. When she comes to my house with BIL's kids......they are warned to stay in the car.

Please... am I being petty? Should I just leave it alone? What would you do?

I would appreciate any advice.
