It's true. Most people die within twelve months of celebrating a birthday. QED.

You preach for 15 years* and what do you get?
Mighty frustrated and mired in debt.
The Watchtower says there's more to do.
Wasting your time, your whole life through.

Who has experienced a REAL demonic incident?
by Monsieur inhas anybody here experienced a bonafide, real, true incident in whicy 'demons' actually interacted with you or did something 'supernatural' that left you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that satan and his demons exist??.

I'm not sure that's true ST, there seem to be plenty of stories of hauntings etc reported by people who claim to have been non-believers up to that point.
i suppose it depends what one considers to be a 'a demon'.

I suppose if the affected person demonstrated abilities that weren't possible normally eg levitation - and I do mean unsupported hovering for a reasonable period of tume, maybe that would indicate something 'supernatural' was going on, or maybe if they had access to information that they couldn't have by any recognised method?
That in itself might prove that people can demonstrate paranormal phenomena but wouldn't necessarily prove demonic involvement or the activity of other kinds of spirits.
There was an study by Carl Wickland which goes by the catchy title of "Thirty Years Among The Dead" which I found interesting, on the subject of possession and obsession. If he is to be believed, the communicating entities did give evidence of their existence, but we'd be taking Wickland's word for it of course.

Well that would seem to be quite a good way to detect the difference lol

I'm still keen to hear how one decides between demonic possession and mental illness.

I think the difference is, in part, that one can prove for oneself that the earth isn't at the centre of the universe. One might have to learn advanced mathematics but it can be done. Also, the proof is repeatable.
One of the problems with proving the existence of 'demons'' (or any other type of spirit) is that, as far as I know, one cannot simply decide to find one, following a method that others have used, to get the same result. At least not in a repeatable way.
Often the experience is intensely personal and not reproducible. That doesn't mean it didn't occur, and that spirits don't exist, but it my experience is unlikely to satisfy a different person looking for proof.
I don't see a problem with the 'concept' of demons. It's just that some don't accept there is any/sufficient evidence to make it any more than a concept.

Lol whatever "any" is. I wouldn't be too pessimistic though, I'm sure the LHC isn't the last word in scientific development. :)
