Just a thought: I may have missed it but did anyone on this thread actually say evolution doesn't happen?

What others believe is perhaps of less interest than why they believe it.
One can learn a lot by asking why people think the way they do about particular topics, it is also a good way of gently challenging those beliefs without the need to engage in combat which happens quite a lot on this forum and rarely seems to lead to either party conceding.

What proof do we have? How did we pass the inspection in 1919?
by Quarterback inwith the new light, the governing body apparently passed the master's inspection due to our focus on preaching the kingdom at that time.
we were the only ones doing this according to the july wt re all those changes.. but, were we really doing this in 1918?
i thought it was only the colporteurs.

A View From Outside
by Joe Grundy ini never was a jw, and in many ways my interest was academic.
i have known, and know, some jws and ex-iws and know something of (but not personally) the effects that wtbts has on people.
the effects, imho, are not positive.

@Mrrhome - I don't get how atheism is a religion. Please explain.

it depends where mouthy is from.where I live 'cock' is simply a term of endearment used more commonly by a more senior generation. Cock as in chickens/rooster :). When I was a child, and sometimes still, I heard it a lot (I'm from Manchester UK).
