I disfellowshipped my parents this week..
by fulano ini just wrote them a mail, telling them to not contact me any more under any circumstances, illness or death (79 and 83 years old).
unless they leave the cult and would apologize for our f*'.ed-up upbringing which ruined our whole life.

Funnily I was thinking of doing the same thing this week.
I'm bored of them expecting me to be happy with the crumbs of a relationship they throw. I'd rather they cut all ties completely and leave me be. If any of my non JW friends did this i'd have unfriended them years ago.

Being shunned only increases my certainty that the WBT$ is a cult
by punkofnice inwell, i don't wanna rant too much but sometimes things cut you don't they.. a family member had a get together for the family, jw and non jw and of course i wasn't invited being da'd.. i understand why they couldn't invite me but it just made me think.
in normal society this wouldn't happen.
i'd have been there.. the shunning is so unnatural and damaging.

The only members of my JW family who still speak to me are my mother and father. I know it's only due to owing them money from the years I was an unemployable socially inept freak due to my upbringing. I'm certain if I didn't I'd never hear from them.
On top of this I came out of the closet 3 years ago. Years of indoctrination buried that realisation for many years. The last time I visited I got the old 'so are you still gay then?', as if no, now my trial period has run out I've decided against signing up for full membership of the Big Gay Agenda.
My 2 younger brothers haven't spoken to me since I came out. My mum let them know I was visiting but they decided to not even reply with an excuse why they couldn't see me.
Fuck 'em.

it got me to thinking about christmas songs in general ,so i thought a thread about people's favourite christmas songs would be good .
please share your fave christmas music , a carol or something more modern .to start i will list my best carol as hark the herald and my best ever chart song as santa claus is coming to town by bruce springsteen .

Most of my JW family will be going to the Excel centre this weekend. Despite the fact I live 20 mins away I don't expect any calls / visits, far too much effort.
Instead I shall be at the apostate convention in Vauxhall today, in the pub. ;)
