  Many thanks for the welcoming messages, the same with you wobble. Ya,I agree its very important "keep a great degree of anonymity so as just to fade from the Borg". Just to let ya know, I am a liberal dude, kind of which explain why it was so easy to get feed up during my time with congregations of the WTS. mouthy, I will check the details of the site. Thanks for the link. Iam glad users on this site are kind of international family some from as far as England, Australia and nearby in Canada. I think that is amazing.

  No More Work on Saturdays at Bethels Worldwide

  a letter was read at tonight's meeting announcing that the governing body has decided to stop work on saturdays at all bethels worldwide.

  bethel workers are encouraged to now spend saturdays with their local congregation in field service.

  the new arrangement goes into effect june, 2009.. what do you think are the motives for such a change?.

  This was rumored the other day on JWN. Interesting confirmation.

  (watson).

  Where was that rumoured? I cannot locate the place. I think one of the possible motive might be, there is less and less social and spiritual interaction of Bethel staff with nearby congregations. After congregation meetings, Bethelites usually rush back in hurry to their Bethel Homes. Its possible the GB want them to increase and maintain a strong presence, kind of quessing. Also, the cost in term of resources might be another issue. They want to cut down on operating costs in term of ultilities, etc. for just one day a week.

  Some Single Sisters' Problems with Brothers

  first of all, i'm a newbie to this site, so i hope that there will be some response to my thread on this particular topic (which i have plenty to relate about).. i wonder why some single (and a few married) brothers in the org have shown a great deal of disrespect for single sisters?

  i am bringing this issue up because not only myself but also my sisters [i have four (4) other in my immediate family] along with 3 of my cousins (who have been dedicated and baptized since adolescent age) plus my own close girlfriends have experienced being gossiped/slandered by a host of brothers who think that they are "all that" and jah's gift to women on planet earth!

  as a matter fact, when one brother in particular [whose uncle is an elder, brother was a regular pioneer/temporary worker at bethel and cousin was a ministerial servant] at a nicely-populated gathering saw myself, two (2) of four sisters, one of cousins and a few of my close friends being approached as well as introduced to a number of handsome, well-dressed brothers to us via two (2) of the family members whom hosted the event.
