  folks, i need a break from politics and jw's.... so i thought i would come up with a fun thread before hitting the hay.... (disclaimer: i barely know what fun is.

  i go by if it makes me smile.

  it's ridiculous.

  i saw this so much in my 44 years in the jehovah's witness cult.

  whether it was elders, pioneers, or other people in the cult criticizing others for working too much at their employment or missing some service or meetings due to employment.

  this seriously cracks me up.. i made a bold move and posted this.

  (because i know there are some on my facebook that are jehovah witnesses, but i support the exjehovah witnesses now, i honestly hate hyprocrites but i also understand the struggle it is to be on one side by force and still be attached to the other side because of family, i respect honest people and it's not my place to expose people, that what the jw elders do, i keep to my own business).. remember that july 2009 awake!

  well notice these words on page 29:no one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family.

  Official visit from two local elders one fine Sunday morning

  well, it finally happened.

  a week ago sunday my fiancee and i were sitting in the living room drinking coffee and watching the morning talking heads when we heard the crunch of tires on the gravel in the driveaway, about 10:30 or so.

  we looked at each other with that "are you expecting anyone?

  Snakes,

  I experienced this same visit less than a year ago. Mine went a little different. It started off quite hostile - the elders were there to kick our asses. But my boyfriend (who totally stood up for me and handled something I was in no condition to handle) showed them some of the nasty letters that had been sent to me by the "sisters" for over 10 years. And we told them the abuse from my ex.

  They ended up by hugging us and we sort of had a mutual understanding that "what will be, will be". Yes, they df'ed us both but I think they understood we were in an impossible situation.

  On the other hand, they said they would visit us again in September when they did the usual visits on df'ed people and it's now mid-November and we haven't heard from them.

  I still think your visit was more successful!!!

  You rock!! For standing up like a man for your woman and her son (your son now, too....)

  i don't easily trust just anybody.

  having said that, there are a few persons here that know my real identity and i'm comfortable with them.. are there certain posters that you trust here?.
