Thank you, Lady Lee.
I lost a baby to miscarriage at 4 1/2 months along.
The JW's say the baby meant nothing, never existed because it didn't take the breath of life.......
But I I know differently.
one group of women who are forgotten are mother's but never had the chance to hold their child because they have lost a child.
some because they chose to give their child up for adoption.
others because of miscarriage or stillbirth.
Thank you, Lady Lee.

okay, you're probably wondering what the hell this funky little astronaut has to do with this.
first a quick setup.... like most on here i'm sure we're all aware of the struggle to rid ourselves of our jw programming.
top of my mind lately is realizing i'm not living my life.
Clearly, the astronaut is demonized. Burn it.
most of us here know what a hypocritical, backstabbing bunch of gossips many of the jw's tend to be.
far too often, a jw wont tell you to your face what's eating them, but they'll sure tell others.
when i started waking up (the second time around) this made me very paranoid.
Maze's reason why people leave the JW's:
Because they have more interest in things in the world than anything God has to offer.
You've been here too long and read too much to spout that nonsense.
You are merely repeating what you've been TOLD is the reason why people leave. Your masters love to tell you that everyone who leaves, leaves to have wild sex with everyone they can, does drugs, lives a totally debauched life - and you are nothing but an idiot drone who eats up whatever lies are spoon-fed to you.
Did you miss the thread ( or just ignore it? ) where MANY here shared their reasons for leaving?
The #1 reason?
Lack of love in the organization.
Smarten up, already.
i know of a few jw friends who from time to time have to do a disappearing act from their hall.
one jw finds a "reason" to leave town to visit relatives and another jw would go to "visit" another hall in a nearby vicinity.
in all honesty, they are fleeing from the strife in the kingdom hall when they are in the spotlight.
Sylvia,
I know we share a similar background on this. The last time I talked to my Grama, she asked if I was going to meetings yet and I bascially told her what you said:
It nearly crushed me.
Nothing would make me return to that den of vipers again.
She knows everything that happened to me and all she could say was, "I just can't understand why Jehovah let that go on for so long."
this seems to be a favorite topic to bring up to any witnesses who post on any website where there are any opposers, either here or topix or anywhere.. so, here is the one and only place i will be discussing it.
who can prove that witnesses are specifically told not to post on websites about them?.
Cheesy:
Semi-related.... when I was still a humble & mostly-unthinking believer and confessed to my sin of reading comments on an apostate site (after their reply about 607 failed to answer my questions), I had an elder ORDER me not to visit such websites anymore.
StandFirm, DJChristmasDrink and Alice would respond that you are just an apostate liar.....
But I believe you.
Because according to Alice, everything I've said is a lie, too......oh, yeah - and according to Alice, everyone who experienced abuse in the Org is a liar, too.
Ohhhhhhh, sometimes I miss being a JW,....... when life was simple and anyone that made me think too hard was just a liar.......
if you could describe the jehovah's witnesses, in a sentence (no run-ons please) what would it be?.
.
jehovah's witnesses are mostly harmless; just don't join 'em..
"JW's - You can get a University education just by reading our magazines!!"

StandFirm:
palmtree67: The tone of the suggestion is also important. There is a difference between 'there are dangers in...' and 'You must not...'.
Tone????
How do you determine the "tone" of the written word?? There is very little way to do that.
There is no vocal tones, no facial expression to help you determine the intention.
The intention is made clear by :
1. Them stating their authority is directly from God.
2. You are threatened with death for non-compliance.
I stand by my original premise - You, StandFirm, are in violation of your masters by posting here. And you know it.
i've observed some forum users here that claim to be active witnesses (even claims to be ministerial servants or elders) while duplicitously supporting apostates online.
my contention is this; why attend meetings and/or participate in the preaching activity when the second you divulge your apostate thinking into the congregation, you'll be disfellowshipped?
while this action taken may seem to be harsh, the outworking of events wouldn't be much different in one of christendom's churches.
Let me get this straight:
1. You - Alice/Rachel/Consfearacy/Spade/SuperSpook......and now Maze - start a topic bashing so-called "undercover apostates".
2. You - Alice/Rachel/Consfearacy/Spade/SuperSpook......and now Maze - do not respond to a single one of the heartfelt responses you have gotten for 4 pages......
3. But you take the time to respond to an obscure ( no offense, Prodigal, I loves ya! ) question that is off-topic, instead of getting your thread back on topic??????
You just posted that last comment to continue stirring the pot, you don't even care what is in that pot, as long as its a-boiling!!
You are the very epitome of a TROLL.
Ray:
clear out some of the old ones that we have heard LITERALLY a hundred times. Especially "Godly view of sex and marriage" that can be the worst in the hands of the wrong speaker...
LOL
