  Starbucks and Amazon are under scrutiny here in the UK for not paying very much in the way of corporation tax - people understand companies have a duty to their shareholders to be as tax efficient as possible but when it looks like they are taking the piss then people may chose to vote with their feet.

  I hate Whole Foods... And Starbucks - some of the WORST coffee I've EVER tasted in my life!!

  I actually worked for Whole Foods headquarters for a while - nothing spectacular; they weren't specifically focused on providing the "best" foods for their customers. When I shopped their stores, they looked like glorified, over-priced grocery stores - LOTS of so-called "healthy" JUNK food and impulse purchase items.

  For my money, Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage is VASTLY better - they seem truly dedicated to the health of their customers and the ecology.

  My parents are well into their late 80s and early 90s, and I wonder how they are lying to themselves at this point in their life, to avoid looking at the fact that they made a TERRIBLE mistake back in their 30s...

  talked to wife about new light!

  i showed my wife the new light, it did not go over good.

  i started with all the publications and asked her three questions 1 who is the fds 2when did they start 3 when did they get appointed over "all the belongings"?

  using the recent publications she said 1 the fds is 144000 2 they started in the 1st centry 3 they were over all belongings in 1919. then i showed her the annual meeting report on the jw.org and went over each point.

  Well, that's what happened to ME...

  However, that study also stated that the people who read JUST the bible, usually exited the JWs AND went on to join more traditional Christian churches...

  Which might be a relief for him, at any rate.
