Mine is that I enjoy the peace of sitting on the toilet for 15 minutes and reading the paper so that I wont be disturbed! Even if I dont need to actually need to go to the toilet I still head in there for some peace and quiet!

i havent booked the ticket yet, though will be visiting adelaide & darwin for work within the next few weeks.
if anyone wants to catch up for the chat/coffee/wine/green tea/lunch/dinner then please let me know!.

Hi Bez, i agree. Due to the hypoctitical state of every congo, surely it has to be a proverb, the fact we all need association of some sort to prevent us going crazy...... Hmmm. maybe its a fullfilment of prophecy based upon the next generation of yong ones who will grow up not knowing how to interact one on one due to social website networks! i work in pa at a fortune 500 co. the manager i currently have is lazy, has no backbone, and is completely incompetent!
this is not just my personal opinion either - it is a running 'joke' amongst the entire dept of this man's managerial skills (or lack thereof).
so much so that even the other managers will make comments about my manager inability to properly perform his job...so this is what i'm dealing with.. being a very straightforward person, i find that being upfront about issues/situations seems to make things easier.
babygirl, he obviously does not deserve you as part of his team and his actions seem to based on an insecurity of the fact that without you he will be exposed for his weaknesses...... Hang in there and stand up for your rights. Cheers, Mattieu

Man, I grew up with this scriptural passage being shoved down my throat as to what could happen if I said the wrong thing..... It was also raised whenever I suffered from fear of man due to the mockings I would get at school for being a jw.... "dont worry, the bears will get them at the big A!"

some of you may remember the drama we have had first trying to buy land, then an old community hall.
both didn't work out.... well to day we signed our mortgage papers at the bank!
it has been 4 weeks since we signed a contract and it took till today to finalize it...banks sure do drag the chain!.

i grew up a jw but arn't now my mother who is jw and piosneering at the moment told me the society does not charge for use of the kh for weddings funerals ect is this true?.

True, though generally when the elder who is the marriage celebrant meets with the engaged couple and goes over the arrangements before the wedding (everything from their spiritual standing in the cong, who will be in the bridal parties, details of the reception, booze, music....) He will mention that if they are approved to use the kingdom hall (there could be no better place than our fathers house of worship) then there are costs associated with that. They can show their gratitude and appreciation by making a donation to cover those costs and arrange a spring clean of the hall in the week of their wedding.
