I Have To Touch It...Saddest Thing I've heard in a Long Time
by Tired of the Hypocrisy ini think i posted on here that i went to the memorial last week.
my wife's dad has been a jw for over 50 years and has never missed a memorial before.
he has been getting sicker and sicker and his wife the star pioneer still does nothing for him.

When my daughter ( I raised as a JW) left the Organization to marry a "worldly" boy
whom she dearly loved ,then a few years had Hodgkins, they passed it around the congregation
that was because she left Jehovah..
She had made many friends in the organization. But NOT ONE!!! NOT ONE sent cards,calls,etc.
If anyone would like to see the write up in the NEWS PAPER after her death. send me your address .
Proved what a wonderful CHRISTIAN she truly was,

I am NOT Catholic, but I have met wonderful Catholic people who shows LOVE, That is the ONE main requirement from GOD for us to show even our enemies > try it you might like itMouthy

Twobytwos,Presbyterian,Salvation Army,Unity,New Apostalic,Roman Catholic.
I did get baptized in the Baptist Church
three years after being kindly kicked out of the Watchtower.
I watch Charles Stanley & Charles Price on TV .
But I think religion causes more trouble in the world than any other thing.I believe in having a relationship... I feel I have that with JESUS!!!!

My Father has just past away

it is occasions like this that.
make me see why i and countless others are just faders .. not taking that bold step of disassociation .

Another Newbie...

nice to see there are so many others out there who feel/felt how i feel.... long story short - i was born into it, started having doubts about age 6, but what can you do when you have over controlling parents whose only goal is to make you a pioneer and ship you off to bethel so you can be like your goody-two-shoe brothers.
suffered through my school years being bullied with no friends - parents made sure that i was very different from other kids inc how i dressed and even what i ate to the point where i was apparently known as the ugly hippie.

Our parents and to a larger degree our grandparents were raiesed to be self sufficient
Your so right Uzzah.... I was in the 2nd World War..You had to KNOW & be ready,
couldnt call anyone when the bombs fell.Gas masks had to be with us ,,,, Had to know where the nearest subway was to run & hide.
So be prepared encase you need it Hope you never do though -

New Here - Hi All
by findingme92 ini'm new to this forum and look forward to getting to know you guys.. just a short summary about me, i was raised a jw, baptized at 15, married at 25, moved a few states away, started fading away about a year and a half ago.
started doing some searching about some long-standing doubts and completely sure now that this isnt the truth.
being out is still new and very difficult, but i'm making strides every day.. as i said, i look forward to getting to know you all..
