Can anyone here SEE the "Run-Away Freight train" about to "Blind-Side" the WTBTS???
by foodalls ini just got off listening to the the tape about the teh bethlelite brothers and the case a member of the anointed has filed against a congregation about an illegal disfellowshiping...and both of these "brothers" have set this organization for a very hard fall!
but!...thats not what i see from what o got from these tapes....but it will be a big contributing factor (i actually feel sorry for those poor "ignorant" elders who will be left to "flap-in-the-wind" over this!!!
)..but its what ii know is comig about all religion that know for a fact!!!

Do You Think the Internet Currently Contains All Mankind's Accumulated Knowledge?
by journey-on incan you find answers to anything you want to know currently via the internet?
is all accumulated knowledge "out there"?.

I have to agree with JeffT (on page1). There are no good ways to determine if the information you are reading is BS or not? I have a collection of links I go to for "trusted information" and I "very cynnically" search beyond that list for more details. I also agree that digital history can easily be reweitten, but you must remember that everything put on the internet is replicated by myriad search engines and sites so at least there is some "preservation" going on here.

Sleep Eludes Me ...
by compound complex insleep eludes me.
she plays coy, then retreats, laughing as she looks back at me.
i vacate my disheveled bed with less than quiet resignation.

Mee Too..
As I sit at my dining toom table typing on my laptop computer, I pay no attention to the clock on the wall that reads 3:10am. I am typing a message to friends whom I've never met, yet these people have touched my life in many ways. I have learned that there are many people who have gone through far worse circimstances within the "Organization" than I have. You all have served in some small way as an encouragement and a goal fo which I will ever strive.

The Problem with Religion
by whereami in"it really is terribly simple, .
1) models with predictive capability are of utility.
2) science is in a class of its own, a process without competitors, when it comes to its ability to form such models.. .

It doesn't take religion to tell the difference between Hitler and Motner Theresa... it only takes a moral compass. Sadly a great many people were never given one by their envionment or learned to develop one on their own...
Religion is based on human control and power over others. Spiritulaity comes from within and has no power that can be used on others.

So an 8 year old is killed by a machine-gun and it's no ones fault?
by Simon ini think us gun laws are s-t-u-p-i-d ... and the legal system more so.
saw a very good suggestion yesterday though - force people who want to own a gun to require insurance (hey, you have to have it for a vehicle for gods sake).
single-shot hunting rifle?

Banning guns is not an answer. Requiring a background check before ownership is good. Requiring X hours of practice/training at a firing range before ownerhip might be good. Requiring that owners carry a bond based on risk (shotgun, rifle low, semi-automatic handgun higher) another helpfull idea. The idea would be to try to promote responsibility and keep them out of the hads of idiots and mentally deranged.
Cameo - you are stretching the definition, the 2nd ammendment if about physical arms and short sleeve T-shirts...

Sorry for another Yanni post, but the violin work is quite nice even though the poor drummer (Charlie Adams) looks like Gary Gusey ... :)

I saw this video on PBS a while back.. The imagery along with the structure of the music is awsome:

the beginning instrumental part of this song is quite powerful!
