  Ber/Beks: I chose my words poorly "it's charged emotionally and I usually tune it out." What I meant to say is if someone uses profanity as part of a reasoning argument for me it falls on deaf ears. I don't have a problem with his position, I think his delivery sucks. And if he has that little control over his speech, what does that mean for his argument.

  Yes, geing gay and terrorized for it is not to be tolerated. But, if you have to be crass and pissy about it, you need to change your tactics. Im sure that no publicity for him is bad publicity, but I dont have to respect him for have "poor self control".

  i believe they can fire me if i refuse to sign so i have to stall.

  I have seen where non-competes were tossed out and/or reduced to "non-contact" of existing customers for some period (usually several years). If you are customer facing sales in a specific industry, it's quite possible that to force you to non-compete would mean that you cannot work at all. These conditions can greatly effect the enforcment of "non-competes".. I wish you good luck!

  I am not a bible believer. I have friends who are gay. I must admit that I have on occasion used (almost) all of George Carlin's 7 words. But when people use these words when trying to make a point, it's charged emotionally and I usually tune it out. If you have to resort to cursing and insults to make your point, it's time to go back to english class and expand your vocabulary. Sorry, but cursing = foolish and to argue any different means that you are missing my point. cheers

  Man Can't Rule Himself

  i've heard it said from the platform that "man can't rule himself".. satan challenged god's authority and god left man to rule himself.. unfortunately, god changed the rules and man now dies.

  so each generation or two* needs a new ruler with new rules.. it seems that either man dies or god is ruler in the mind of a jw.

  this isn't true - mathematically this creates four scenarios:.

  I think the point is that without regard for his message, his delivery was unacceptable and inappropriate.
  
  By the way all the "old testament" crap is no longer applicable because of Jesus' sacrifice. So in a way you could call it BS if you like - but that seems like an ineffective way to communicate.

  Irritating... yet Accurate.

  Based on JW beliefs, all that's bad in the world happens because of either unforeseen occurrence or Satan the Devil's actions (the who world lies in the power of the wicked one). So those bad things are to be expected. And, no the murderer and rapist wont burn forever, they will be allowed to live again on earth (provided they die before Armageddon) - to learn the "truth"... The victims will be resurrected to live again... "No harm no foul" I guess...

  God's plan is to let his "timetable" play out to answer the question of his universal sovereignty then wipe out all wickeness (all non JW's) and start fresh.

  How does this not reduce the value of human life today?
