  Dec. 15th WT - WT Skewed View of Love- Preach, Die, Suffer, Help our Own

  well, they are up to their old tricks again.

  trying to manipulate rank and file members views of what " real love " is again.. the title of the study article is " love that never fails " .

  as my jw daughter so succinctly informed me a couple weeks ago that the most important way jehovah's witnesses are counseled to " show love " is by preaching the good news door to door.

  Hopscotch....I remember when the Victorian bushfires happened, and I rallied my neighbours and family together and gathered car loads full of clothes, toys and other things to take to a drop off centre. It was then being taken by truck through to Victoria. I clearly remember telling some witnesses about this (as I was active at the time), and they kind of silenced me. Not one of them had thought to do this. And none of them offered to donate anything for me to take to the drop off centre . I must've made 4 trips to that centre, and you should've seen how many volunteers were there! It truly touched my heart how 'worldly' people banded together to help their fellow Australians.

  My small children continually piped up 'we're helping the bushfire kids mummy' and 'can we give them this teddy?' from their own toys! My little children knew that giving to people in need was so important, yet witness adults thought it was wrong. What the????

  My daughter (JW) just called .......

  after all these years!!!!

  she is 63 yrs old still a jw.. has shunned me for years.. she lives in montreal me in ontario... .

  last week i got the urge to send her a lovely card just to tell her i love her .

  was this californian still a witness?

  i've read news articles stating he became a jw in prison where he married his witness wife.

  now, he's put out a public apology to everyone for his dirty deeds..

  I heard his mum was/is a witness, but tend to agree with Jamie that he may have put together his own craziness...lol. I also know someone who knew the mum personally, and how the elders kept on visiting her at the house she shared with her son and his wife (and as we now know, the girl he abducted) but never picked up on anything strange. I guess even his neighbours didn't know anything was amiss though.

  Slightly weird mess-up by the Society...service meeting part

  if there's one thing the society loves, it is punctuality and regularity.. every year for at least the past 30 years, without fail, you could set your atomic clock by it, what is the primary topic of the 1st service meeting in january?.

  you find out where and when your district convention will be that year.. so, looking at the december km, sure enough, there is an insert covering the usual topics (don't save seats, arrive on time, spit out your gum, don't pee in the hotel pool, etc.)..

  but wait a minute!

  Maybe they had a different person assigned to that this year and he/she just forgot? Could be a number of things I suppose but does make you wonder how the editor, or whoever, missed such an ingrained yearly thing. Never knew about the blood card thing, yet I was still an active witness as that time. Hmmm

  Is internet dating for losers?

  after almost a year of internet dating on various sites, i've concluded that it's not the place for me to meet the man of my dreams.

  anyway, i'm happy i've given it a shot and i've gained lots of experience and even made a few male friends.

  Eyes!!! First off, the eyes and smile, and his build. I like broad shouldered men. I find that really sexy. Also height. I'm 5'9, so he has to be taller than me. My ex was 6'1, nice height. I like a masculine face, strong features. Oh, and good size hands and feet

  Then comes whether he's a good kisser or not

  Personality wise, I like a strong man. One who isn't indecisive. One who can think for himself. He needs to be warm and affectionate, I like cuddles
